Our prime minister, the statesman, and Peppa Pig

Nothing wrong with mixing up notes and losing your place - could happen to the most excellent of national leader, but this was totally cringeworthy!

It was reminiscent of his totally made-up claim when asked about his hobbies and he garbled something about making a bus from wine boxes. He is such a psued.

He was addressing the CBI.

Yes Zennomore .. who knows eh? Some are alleging that maybe the lines he forgot were the little white, powdery ones that usually keep him on track.

Goodness!

The only Boris lover who visits this thread comes up with nasty gossip. How the mighty are fallen... Or is it rats deserting a sinking ship?

I remember that episode of Outnumbered, very funny.

annsixty Tue 23-Nov-21 09:15:17

How many who used to watch a comedy called Outnumbered remember the German exchange student saying how much the Germans loved the comedian named Boris Johnson on their tv.?
The family try to explain he isn’t a comedian, he is the Mayor of London.
Yes replies the student he plays the Mayor.
Not so funny now is it?

Luvvable, bumbling Boris, not so funny after a while is it - a prime minister needs to take the job seriously.

This wasn't a 'bad day at the office' it's how he is - even his most fawning of fans must see there is little substance to this flawed character.

Lucca Tue 23-Nov-21 08:56:28

? What does that mean ?

Lincslass Tue 23-Nov-21 08:53:21

Oh you do know, hindsight is a wonderful thing, isn’t it. Seriously though voting for Corbyn, ????

Lucca Tue 23-Nov-21 08:50:50

Oh my goodness it looks like Jeremy Corbyn has a lot to answer for …..

HowVeryDareYou Tue 23-Nov-21 08:47:41

Boris Johnson - or to give him his real name, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson - is a bumbling, tatty-looking clown.

I voted for him (as I didn't want Corbyn to win) at the last general election. Never again.

Lucca Tue 23-Nov-21 08:41:31

Someone no doubt will be along to remonstrate about ‘another Boris bashing thread”

But seriously what support can anyone give for this fiasco? He had Covid ? He’s got a young child ?

Sarnia Tue 23-Nov-21 08:36:35

Toe-curlingly embarrassing. Our illustrious leader looking as if he's been dressed for the occasion by Oxfam and unless his notes are in order, cannot talk eloquently on any subject. Heaven help us.

To think people saddled us with this fool, and are likely to do so again.

Let’s hope the wheels on the bus are finally coming off.

Calistemon, I'm out of touch with PP. My grandchildren have all outgrown her. Once, when I was with my family in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, Peppa was doing the rounds of the children's play area. The children were quite put out and overawed because 'Peppa' was full adult size inside the outfit and the kids would have expected her to be about their size!
Sorry - I digress.

mokryna Mon 22-Nov-21 23:05:58

Oh my goodness. I have to face my pupils tomorrow ?!

Some of Peppa Pig's pronouncements are very profound wink

George is a bit wet, though.

annodomini Mon 22-Nov-21 22:45:59

A classical education leads only to a panegyric on Peppa Pig. How Cicero and Demosthenes must be turning in their graves!

Lovetopaint037 Mon 22-Nov-21 22:28:14

Agree with all already said.

Imagine having all that expensive education, all the advantages he has had, all the expertise and help that must now be available to him and still being so utterly pathetic at the job you have spent all your life chasing.

GillT57 Mon 22-Nov-21 22:01:23

His "great orator" reputation is yet another phoney part of Johnson. What a bloody embarrassment he is

What a boost for Peppa Pig World!
I think Johnson should wear a Daddy Pig t shirt in the HOC just to follow it up.?

I think he might get another telling off from the Speaker.

Oldbat1 Mon 22-Nov-21 21:55:44

I’ll be honest and say I really can’t stand the man. It was excruciating to watch - once was bad enough. The news channels kept showing it and I almost felt sorry for BJ. I really really wonder why he is seen as a “great orator”.
