One of my male friends painted my nails.
He does them far better than I can.

I came around the corner while doing chores this morning, and my little dog was lying in the middle of the kitchen floor on her back with her legs up, waiting for a belly-rub. She's so cute and funny sometimes.

Also the hummingbird was waiting for his food to be refilled, after we had a wicked wind storm yesterday.

There was a nuthatch on the peanut feeder.

We found a venue for DD3's very small wedding party.

Had fun with a friend trying to see if she'll pass the number plate reading test for driving. We were just standing in a car park. No need to worry.

One daughter rang on the way to work, the other called in on the way to work. Lovely start to the day.

We have recently started having gd 15 months once a week. Yesterday she was not herself, probably a mixture of teething and a cough and cold. She was obviously tired but could not get to sleep in her buggy so I just cuddled her and sang a few songs. She nestled in my arms for an hour and was very refreshed when she woke up. It was bliss!

Poor little thing, hope it passes soon.
I'm jealous of you ?enjoy your time with her.

A badly driven lorry frightened me. But has driven on by without incident. I fully expected us or some other poor driver to be involved in an accident.
So that's a reason to count my blessings.

The sight of a vase of tulips in the sitting room. Although on their last legs, some standing, some drooping gracefully making a beautiful display.

A good morning Granny, out of the blue, message from both GDs ?

My son shared an essay written by my eleven year old granddaughter entitled ‘Does absence make the heart grow fonder’ she wrote ‘I see my Leicester gran everyday but I only see my Anglesey gran and Grandpa four times a year I love them all just the same because they are the most special people in my life after mum and dad.
I quite like my sister but I don’t think absence would make me fonder of my brother’.
Brother is 18 and a real tease.
Made me smile.

I love tulips when they reach that final stage. Like the final scene in a Dutch tragedy.

I find fresh flowers wilt very quickly, this time of year. During to the central heating. So apart from growing Amaryllis in pots, I dont bother. I do miss the scent fromFreesia.

Those are lovely moments aren’t they? Loved it when my children slept in my arms. Even better with the grandchildren ❤️

At my granddaughter's school in NZ there is an 'Apron Ceremony' that takes place when children move from Year 2 up to Year 3. Thanks to the glories of technology I was able to watch the video this morning and see and hear my granddaughter taking part. Just lovely.

Also today I have had confirmation that a homeless woman I've been supporting is going to be housed shortly and that the current cold weather means temporary housing will be made available to local rough sleepers. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I get that news.

Well I do feel good, but it's nothing on the scale of other GN'ers feelings! I've just made custard, a very rare occurrence in this house since Mr B doesn't like it, and poured it over a homemade fruit gingerbread slice. So I'm having yummy warming pudding while I watch the first snow swirling outside.

I woke up this morning a free woman! At the AGM of my WI last night, I stood down as President after six years in the role. No more sleepless nights thinking about all the admin I need to do!

Now, how shall I use all my spare time?

My doctor gave me huge pills and capsules to take for a week. My lovely caring husband rang the surgery while I was at art class and explained I can't swallow them and got liquid instead.

Mollygo Fri 26-Nov-21 13:31:26

Nadateturbe - amazing husband AND amazing surgery for being available on the phone. Hope the medication works!
