Good Morning Mick and everyone from damp grey Carlisle. It is a whole 12C warmer than yesterday. The snow has completely gone of course so off to town I went. Cards have been duly sent to Australia and a parcel posted. I should therefore have returned with an empty bag but I didn't! Because I strolled through M&S in spite of an inner voice saying no. I justified the purchase of some Christmas goodies as DS2 is visiting but no way did I need another sweater. I'd already bought new ones a few weeks ago as I lost a lot of weight last year but I spotted one in my favourite colour and couldn't resist.
Plantar fasciitis is extremely painful grandMattie. I got referred to a physiotherapist and did weeks of exercises including ones starting before I got out of bed in the morning. Lots of help online these days instead of waiting weeks for the physio. I hope you and your son are soon sorted.
The best possible day to all, I'm must be off to catch up with some housework.

grandMattie my daughter recently had a consultation with an NHS podiatrist re plantar fasciitis. The advice was to buy prosthetics herself (quicker than waiting for NHS). My daughter went to Amazon and bought PRO 11 Wellbeing shoe inserts, £5.75. Pain relief was instant. Hope this is helpful to you. And hoping your son's operation goes well. flowers

Good morning all and happy St Andrews day to our Scottish Grans ??????? Tech problems this morning meant I couldn’t get online.

Thank you for your good wishes yesterday, it’s much appreciated. Unknown to me, DH booked a table at a local Italian restaurant for five, another surprise, DD1 and the girls joined us. The biggest surprise was that GD2 (12) managed to keep a secret. ?. We also had a FaceTime call from DD2 and SiL in Australia. A perfect day.

It’s dull and grey here today but I’m sure it won’t dampen your spirits for an outing to Glasgow Marydoll and Baubles. Enjoy your day in the city, I don’t remember when I was last in Glasgow, it may have been when we had out meet up just before Covid put paid to normality.

Your poor son * GrandM* I do hope he mends well. PF is extremely painful, fingers crossed you are listened to, receive a diagnosis and treatment soon to address your condition. You are having such a rotten time of it but as always, your stoicism
comes to the fore.

Best wishes to those with health worries or are struggling with other problems. I hope the day is kind to all.

Sounds like you had a lovely day, Kalu. DH is dining in one of Glasgows finest and I am sitting in McDonald with £2.39 Happy Meal. It is empty, I wonder why! ?

Marydoll the locals must have heard you were going into town! Still cold here in Ashford, though not as bad as the weekend. I moved south in the hope of better weather. Ah well, just keep hugging the radiator. DH sits beside me in T-shirt and shorts and I have jeans, T-shirt, rugby top, socks and a blanket over me! I blame hypothyroidism!
Just read our infection rate is 630/100k, I am boosted but still reluctant to venture out. My sister was ‘banned’ from flying to Glasgow from Port Elizabeth last weekend. Why she wanted to spend two weeks in the cold instead of the SA summer, I don’t know! Mother is 90 in March so maybe she’ll get over for that.
Have a good day all!
