My daughter gave me a heated throw…..I can recommend it!

So did mine midgey , wouldn’t be without it.

We have his n hers heated throws. ?. Best buy ever.

I took a photo of this poncho in a knitwear shop a few days ago to send to my cousin in Ireland. She and I had one very similar as teenagers in the late 60s and we thought we were the bees knees wearing them. She knitted them and also one for her sister. I wish I’d held onto mine for wearing in the house on cold evenings.

I have a heated throw too and I wouldn’t be without it during the winter. It’s a red velvet type one. Bliss!

I used to wear a similar navy coloured poncho back in the day and wish I had kept it.
Maybe they have come round again....which is good news.

Must admit to feeling the chills in the evening, until I found a snuddie. It’s absolutely wonderful, warm , snuggly and you can still move around with it on.

I got a fleecy 'slanket' last Christmas- basically a blanket throw with sleeves! Its wonderful, cosy and warm.

Grannywanny I found a pattern on Pintrest to knit what is called a Claire, (Outlanders) shawl. Very simple, triangle, begin with 8 stitches, dec. edges and centre until desired width to cover shoulders. I cross it over at the front and secure it with my ancient kilt pin. Very cosy for chilly mornings/evenings.

I have DD a heated throw last year and it's seldom been switched off. She's a 'cauld tattie' and is never warm. Also her cats can always be found snuggled in its folds. A great buy.

That sounds lovely Kalu. But I’m afraid my knitting skills are non existent. I still cringe now thinking of knitting lessons in primary 3. Anyone whose scarf wasn’t finished approaching end of term was allowed to take them home for a few evenings. I pleaded with my Mum to help me. Of course, the teacher could see the difference right away. She held my scarf up for all to see and said “Guess whose house had a visit from the knitting fairy last night! ?

What a pity Grannynannywanny. We were taught knitting and crochet in P3 too. I have tried in vain to teach both to 2xDDs and 2xGDs. Either they just didn’t grasp it or my teaching skills left a lot to be desired. ?

DGS picked it up really quickly but then announced "This is really boring, I'm going out to play"!

I have an Oodie, it doesn’t use electricity, it’s not a fashion statement but it is so warm.

My husband gave me a lovely warm oodie for my birthday today. I'm wearing it now. It's so warm and comfy, I can see me getting a lot of use out of it.

My grandmother taught me knitting, not sure why I didn't learn at school. We certainly didn't learn crochet - I had to teach myself when I was adult. Unfortunately my hands are too arthritic to knit now and I've forgotten how to crochet.
