Happy Birthday Baubles I hope you enjoy your special day! ???

Happy Birthday Baubles??
Sorry about your DIL, LauraNorderr, Maybe she, too can negotiate to have the Chemo after Christmas?
Kalu my GS is very sweet, but don't be mistaken - he is quite mischievous, and gentle as are most children with DS Barmeyoldbat what a dreadful thing to happen, the aggrevation is so not necessary at a time like that.
I'm sure you, too, will investigate complimentary therapies, Marydoll. Reflexology can be quite powerful if done regularly and acupuncture? Good Luck with that.

I'm so sorry to hear your news Barmey. It sounds as if your GD is just lashing out. Don't take it to heart. You can do without it though. How old was your DIL? Did she have known health problems?
I'm glad your DIL can have her chemo now after all Lauranorder. Hope the side effects settle quickly.
Thoughts to all who are sad or troubled

Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast.
I’m taking it easy this morning as singing in our last music club meeting/party this afternoon and sang a lot yesterday. I get hoarse as have acid reflux which is terrible for the singing voice. A red dress should fit the bill too.
I had a lovely day in Chester on Sunday, Christmas trees lined the cloisters and a nice meal in Carluccios (?) chicken Milanese in breadcrumbs. Took the train instead of the car, rather long but relaxed apart from non maskers grr.
Really need to get going on Christmas prep rather than gadding about.
Thoughts to Lauranorder and hope you all have a good day.
Another card drawn.

What a dreadful shock for you and your family *Barmeyoldbat. My deepest condolences. Look after yourself first would be my advice in your situation. ?
Much better news for you DiL LauraNorderr
I know a few children with DS Gwen. Mischievous sense of humour but oh so gentle and loving. Something I find so endearing in those I know with DS.

Gwen, I have tried both Reiki and reflexology and am an advocate of both. However, Covid put paid to that. Initially I was sceptical about Reiki, however it was amazing!

What a shock Barmeyoldbat, condolences and thoughts to grannysomerset in this difficult time.

EnaSharples Tue 14-Dec-21 12:10:53

Barmeyoldbat that is very sad for you and your family.

I dont know why my post was deleted for just showing sympathy to someone in the same boat as me and I hope this one wont be. I wish someone would tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Good Afternoon from a trying to be sunny mid Cornwall.

We do our best to cope, in sorts of ways, with our own illnesses and worries but when our family are hurting or worried it can become an almost impossible task sometimes in helping them cope.

Laura. It's brilliant to read that the chemotherapy is underway today. Christmas a go go ?. Also pleased that operation will not be delayed now.
Barmeyoldbat. Your news was a very hard one to read. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Gymstagran Hope the chemotherapy goes well for your DD on the 30th.
I'm a lifeline for my two AC. I'm always here with my listening ear and a word of encouragement and support. At the moment, one of them needs lots of both.

To everyone who has their own pain or worries, I do hope you find a way of coping and maybe, hopefully, a way forward with them.

I'll brave the outside soon to drive and post more cards (wish I lived within walking distance of a post box) and will then walk Mya, who was poorly during the night. She is curled up besides me at the moment.

Safe day all Good Morningsters.

The forecaster said last night that the temperature here will remain at a constant 12° day and night today, so we didn't load the log fire up last night. I will leave my scarf on the peg ?.

I think if you email GNHQ they may be able to help you EnaSharples - if your posts are deleted then they should let you know why so that you can avoid doing the same in future.

So sorry for your loss barmyoldbat and the dilemma with your GD. ?

Lauranorder good news that your daughters treatment is to go ahead ?

Marydoll Tue 14-Dec-21 14:00:08

Just in case anyone gets the wrong end of the stick yet again, it certainly wasn't me who reported ES.

It's a shame that this thread, which I have always enjoyed and posted on comfortably for the last six years, has become quite upsetting recently.

TopsyIrene06 Tue 14-Dec-21 15:05:54

Marydoll Kind thoughts for you. One great role model.

A bit late. With the Good Morning but here I am. Dry but dismal all day, a quick chat with the Dr this morning about medication and then a quick trip to Waitrose for a few bits and bobs. Then lunch and back to bed for a Nanny nap. All is. quiet at my sons house, I have only spoken to him and arranged to meet him, outside somewhere for a coffee on Saturday. The go are still angry that I haven’t been to see them in their hour of need but my son agrees with me and said they will just have to get over it. It’s just the anger of grief and I am sticking to my guns. Marydoll I hope you take it easy and stay safe, Ens, sorry your post was deleted I am sure you meant no harm. Keep safe everyone
