Apologies fir waking anybody up , but Good morning and a Happy Christmas to you all!
There has been much tiptoeing and whispering going on as those of you with GC staying or who are visiting family with little ones will be experiencing. Can’t we all remember those happy days days when we struggled through Christmas Day on a minimum of sleep - it used to seem like barely an hour between tiptoeing into bedrooms with the stockings and “HE’S BEEN!”
My Christmas started with a magical Christingle service yesterday then home for mulled wine and to dry out as it was chucking it down.
For those of you alone - not by choice- or with worries and sadness, I hope the spirit of Christmas will envelop you like a warm hug and bring you comfort and strength for the days to come.
God bless us every one!

Good morning, and Merry Christmas ? from a grey and overcast Northumberland. Just relaxing before I start the lunch preparations. Watching two cock pheasants strut around the garden.
After lunch we are visiting family.
Enjoy the day in your own way.

Happy Christmas everyone!
After church yesterday evening we went back to a neighbour's, just as we did for many years after we moved to the area. Nice to get back to 'traditions'.
Had my best Christmas present this morning. Having sent an early 'Happy Christmas' to our 10 year old GD I got a prompt reply. She's at the other end of the country, so we only see her a few times a year.

Good morning from a damp and dreary Dorset, merry Christmas, and thank you for your lovely welcome yesterday.
Been up ages and begun the juggling display to get everything cooked, but only just supplied DH with his breakfast! Two DDs, their partners and two GDs, plus two lively labradors, coming for lunch. Hope you all have the best day possible.

Happy Christmas one and all! My don't some of you get up early, I looked at my clock this morning and it was 8.47, lovely lie in, even the dog had not stirred. Off to walk her in a minute then off to DD's for lunch.

?Merry Christmas? everyone.
Thank you for opening up Maw. Your lovely opening brought back so many happy memories of days when our DDs crept into our room at silly o’clock excitedly jumping on to our bed announcing, ‘it’s Christmas’ at full volume. Now in their 40’s they too reminisce about their childhood christmases. ❤️

A bright crimson streaked sky in Glasgow this morning.
We had a FaceTime catch up with DD2 and SiL in Australia where it was, unusually, pouring down!

It’s lovely to see so many new names here this morning, a warm welcome to all.
Pleased to hear you made it to Italy Lucca ?
So nice to see you here Bellasnanna and pleased to see your post Greyduster
Bon voyage Ash
A bitter sweet day for you GrandM I hope being with your family helps you through the day. ❤️

My thoughts are with you and your GS Maria

Fast forward from busy Christmas days in the past to present day which will be a quiet, relaxing affair for DH and I. The fun begins tomorrow when DD1 and the girls arrive to open their presents followed by GD’s requested, Boxing Day Buffet.

Best wishes to all and I hope, a brighter day for those not in such a good place just now.

Good morning and Happy Christmas to all of and new posters. Thank you Maw for the lovely opening.

We are celebrating Christmas Day tomorrow as my DD is working today in the NHS.

The house is still packed and so noisy. DS, DiL. OH and DGS are downstairs and we can have a lovely day of pre-festivities today. It's wonderful having small ones here again.

Hoping for peaceful times for all those spending Christmas alone. Thank you as well for brightening some of my dark days over the past few years. You have brought a smile to my face when I've been down.

Stay safe ??????❤ to you all
