Apologies fir waking anybody up , but Good morning and a Happy Christmas to you all!
There has been much tiptoeing and whispering going on as those of you with GC staying or who are visiting family with little ones will be experiencing. Can’t we all remember those happy days days when we struggled through Christmas Day on a minimum of sleep - it used to seem like barely an hour between tiptoeing into bedrooms with the stockings and “HE’S BEEN!”
My Christmas started with a magical Christingle service yesterday then home for mulled wine and to dry out as it was chucking it down.
For those of you alone - not by choice- or with worries and sadness, I hope the spirit of Christmas will envelop you like a warm hug and bring you comfort and strength for the days to come.
God bless us every one!

Happy Christmas to everyone on this lovely thread. Haven’t posted before but always read each day. Maybe make a resolution to post more next year.
Just DH and I here in Shropshire but FaceTime with family later and thankful to be safe, warm and a good lunch to come.
Hope those in pain or alone find some peace and joy along the way.

Happy Christmas to Everyone from a rather damp Surrey where I’ve just returned from a walk. DS1 seems to have a holiday project….training his parent up to improved levels of fitness! I admit it’s needed.
I do hope you all enjoy the day in your own ways, l’ll be finding the time to read your posts later.

This thread has made my day. So many lovely posts. smile

Kalu Sat 25-Dec-21 15:43:46

I agree baubles. Pleased it has made your day too after your plans were scuppered. Hope it’s not too long until you all get together. Your pooch will appreciate having you both all to himself/herself ( my memory is getting worse!) today. ?

Newatthis Sat 25-Dec-21 16:20:46

Happy Christmas to everyone and celebrating my birthday today as well!

baubles Sat 25-Dec-21 18:01:39

Kalu daft dug is a she. Lovely that you remembered that she exists, sadly she’s far too fond of having us to herself!

Kalu Sat 25-Dec-21 18:40:19

Aw, daft dug, I know how much you adore her?.
From growing up with dogs until, sadly, our last boy died a few years ago, I so miss my own dogs but make do with FaceTime calls from my lovely grandson? in Australia or visits with our latest family member, a black spaniel puppy which belongs to our GDs in your neck of the woods.

Many Happy returns of the day newatthis. Hope you enjoyed what is your special day too. ??

Happy Christmas to all. I'm staying with DS2 and family. He went off for a park run so presents were postponed until he returned and, thankfully, after he'd had a shower. Everyone, including me, had a load of presents - one of mine had come earlier in the form of a new and improved Echo (aka Alexa) and DS has a custom of making a donation to a charity in my name to a charity of my choice. Teeshirts and hard cash very popular with the two teenagers.
Tomorrow DS1 plus partner and my DGD1 are coming for Boxing Day. DGD2 and DGS1 are both going to be at their part-time jobs - she in a bar and he in the pub kitchen but I'll see them when I go back with DS1 tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of the festive season.

Merry Christmas everyone. I’m just back from a family day at my eldest daughters, we all had a lovely day together considering it’s the first Christmas without DH, I had been dreading it. Just poured myself a drink and I’m watching a bit of Morecambe & Wise before settling down for Call the Midwife. It’s very cold and windy here so I’m glad to be in the warm. Hope everyone enjoys their Christmas night ?

Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas, hoping and praying for a happy, healthy and safe 2022.
We've had a very busy Christmas day, visited DS2, DiL, and wee DGS2 this morning, so lovely to see the wee one, nearly 2, enjoying his toys.
Then dinner here with DS3 and lovely girlfriend, now relaxing in front of M and W, classic comedy.
Tomorrow, another drive, to DS1, Di L , DGS1 and DGD for Boxing Day Buffet.
I'm very thankful that I am seeing all my family in the space of a couple of days.
Thinking of those whose plans are on hold, I hope your reunions can be rearranged.
Christmas Vigil Mass last night, Church was very busy, but new restrictions begin soon.
My sisters and I exchanged presents after Mass, one of my gifts us the new Richard Osman novel, I'm looking forward to relaxing with that on Monday after a very busy weekend.
Enjoy the rest of your Christmas celebrations, take care, NNGB.
