Can anyone identify this?

Some years ago when my two older GCs were small the family had Christmas lunch with my SILs family. His mother bought her crackers at Harrods, some for the children and some for the adults, the box said so. The "adult" crackers produced some interesting things one of which was a mini vibrator! Little voices asked what it was for, not sure what they said!

I buy cheap & cheerful crackers and add something extra: e.g lipstick, sweets, £1 coins, notebook, miniature drinks. It’s amazing what you can stuff in!

Dotty123. Me too. This year I bought some ‘fill your own’ crackers and put a pack of wildflower seeds, a lottery scratch card and a chocolate bear in each.

I have a tiny set of screwdrivers that came in a cracker years ago.
They're really handy!

So have I. I've had them for ages and keep them hidden from OH so that they don't disappear! They are in a little black case and you just select which end you want and slot it in the handle.

Just realised I left my set in full view of DH over Christmas. I haven't a clue where they are now!

This mini box grater came out of a cracker years ago. I use it for zesting limes. The apple ? is just for scale.

That is perfectly sweet lizzypopbottle. Our crackers were Waitrose this year and adequate but nothing as fancy as your grater or Daisymae's half-scissor paper-cutter .
I think there was a wooden top in mine which the dog liked.

One year we made our own or rather we bought cheap crackers and altered them by adding proper nice gifts and extra nice chocolates.

Probably a letter opener, but, could it be used for poking corners when a piece of sewing has been turned the right way.

I agree with Marydoll. It's a comedo extractor.

Where is the little hole for placing over the pleuch, Marydoll ? That handle would cover a ginormous boil, but would be no use on a tiny comedo. Also the pointed end would be difficult to grasp and could cut the fingers.

With a bit of DIY, a dual-purpose hole could be drilled, for extracting blackheads AND for joining the half-scissors to the other half next Christmas, when the same posh crackers will provide the rest of the implement.

I use a carving fork for that, with two long tines. If you stab down into the jar, you get at least one gherkin, and often two, and sometimes you hit the jackpot with three or four.

When, oh when will our wish be granted, highlighting the OP's subsequent posts in green. Daisymae confirmed within an hour and within the first 10 posts that it must be a paper knife, which is what most people thought it was. Notwithstanding, the thread has gone on for 3 pages repeating the same things.

Actually - scrap that. There has ensued an interesting and amusing discussion on what people have found in crackers and what they have put in them.

I'm probably just jealous because it has been made so difficult to get hold of them here. First you weren't allowed to bring them back in hand luggage, then they extended the ban to checked-in luggage. You're not allowed to post them. And it's an awfully long way from us to go by car, in which, presumably, you would be allowed to transport crackers. They are available in Germany but very rare, and anyway, they wouldn't have the jokes in them. I must remind myself next year to order some from the expat shop well in advance.
