Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning.
Some of my dressing has come off when I had my rugby shirt removed last night , hoping to get it temporary fixed .
I have a hospital appointment as to my ear at the Nuffield in Oxford today as to glueing or plastic surgery?
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Stafford. The motorway was really busy for our drive over this morning,DH gently snoring beside me I was glad to get here?

DGS is in a lively mood today?he’s been to a couple of birthday parties this weekend and is full of anticipation for his own 4th birthday party in a few weeks.

Mary, your little Dollie sounds so like Miss M!I am a list maker/forward planner and M is definitely taking after me.Before she went home on Saturday she wrote a plan for her next visit?

Ash, I hope your DD’s tests go well today and she has a more comfortable day.

Mick, hope your appointment goes well.

Wishing everyone the best day possible and thoughts with all unwell and those worried about loved ones??

Feelingmyage55 Mon 17-Jan-22 08:01:50

Good morning. Mick, that sounds very worrying; hope you are being well looked after.
The sky is so red here, that it hardly looks real; a lovely start to the week.
Ashcombe I do hope your DD is being given the best of care.
Today I ought to do housework and take some parcels to the post office. Then I could reward myself with watching some tennis. I need to go for a brisk walk too as I realise that I really dawdle along and don’t get the blood pumping.
Hearing about Dollie cheered me up too yesterday.
gillybob. If you are still reading I think about you often and hope for a ?.
Have the best day you can.

Urmstongran Mon 17-Jan-22 08:07:15

Mick that was some bash you gave your ear. No wonder it bled so much.

Ashcombe you must be so anxious on behalf of your daughter in Oz, especially as she’s on her own too at present. I hope her condition settles soon without too much intervention.

Grandmajean Mon 17-Jan-22 08:13:57

Morning all.
Cold here in Cheshire.
Welcome GrandmaSeaDragon - there are indeed some very early birds on this thread
That patio is indeed beautiful , Urmstongran I assumed it was yours. Why doesn't ours look that pretty ?
Good wishes to your daughter ,Ashcombe
And to all of those with worries.

EkwaNimitee Mon 17-Jan-22 08:17:48

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where the sky looks clear but it’s not frosty.
Your ear sounds worse than I’d thought, Mick. Hope all goes well at the hospital.

It’s probably a gardening and minor shopping day here. We didn’t go out yesterday, DS2 was working, doing his Australian jobs from Cumbria! and I cleaned my poor filthy car inside and out. Whilst I had the hose out I also scrubbed down the drive and back patio which were also dirty with mud from our gardening construction jobs.
Hello to you, GrandmaSeaDragon, hopefully we hear more from you.
My thoughts with those of you struggling with ill health/problems and wishing you better times.

Good morning from a frosty corner of the S Welsh coast.
Best wishes to both your DD's Susan and Ash hope they are much improved very soon.
Not a lot on the cards today except a walk and bed changing. I am increasing my daily step count and achieved the recommended 10,000 a few times last week, I never thought I would be able to do that when I had my spinal fractures in Oct 2019. I am thoroughly enjoying being able to get out in the fresh air.
Thinking of all with worries and illness, life can be hard.
Stay safe everyone.

Good morning from a cold, frosty Colchester. The sky is blue and the sun is trying it's best.
Loads of bits and bobs to do today. I have a list on my phone and swipe each one away once they're done. Why is there always a full rubbish bin and laundry basket??
Love to all ?x

Goood morning from Yorkshire. Its a bit murky outside BUT we have been told we will have pure sunshine today, so watch this space.

Today i go for breast screening at the hospital, it isnt while 11am so i have time to finish the ' draft excluder' i am making, its an animal print material.

I ran out of stuffing, so as i woke this morning i thought ahhh we dont need all those cushions in the back room so guess where the stuffing is coming from! Haaa.

Enjoy your day everyone smile

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Doctors appointment this morning as I had a fun t turn at the weekend. Hoping it’s nothing serious!

Sorry to hear about your DD Ashcombe I hope they can make her better. It doesn’t matter how far away you are as a mum you always feel helpless.

Mick that was quite a bump you had!

Wishing everyone a good day - I will close my windows kitty.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Alygran Mon 17-Jan-22 08:38:44

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Clear blue sky and a hard frost here.
I’m expecting a builder this morning to sort the guttering on the conservatory. Meanwhile I should do a bit of housework.
Had 2 friends round for roast dinner last night. Lovely to have some company and share a bottle of wine!
Thoughts to poorly people including you Mick. Must have been a heavy fall. What did you bump against?
Thinking of Soop too with her long journey and hospital appointment. Hoping for good news.
Have a good day everyone.

Gagagran Mon 17-Jan-22 08:39:06

Urms something is stirring in my memory bank about the lovely patio. Was it Galen's?

AGAA4 Mon 17-Jan-22 08:46:34

Good morning from a sunny North Wales.
I hope your ear is better soon, Mick.
I have lost 2lbs because of the morning walks. Need to keep going and give up chocolate as I'm sure that would help too!

Have a pleasant day everyone with thoughts to anyone who is not well, sad or worried.

Grandmabatty Mon 17-Jan-22 08:52:45

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and there is a lovely pale blue sky above. Mick that was some dunt you gave yourself. Ashcombe what a worry about your dd. Susan you deserve a gold medal for grandparents!
Yesterday I managed to get housework done but I felt dozy most of the day. The balance issue persists from time to time.
Today I'm staying home again. I could have gone a walk with dd and dgs2 but I don't feel up to it yet. Have a good day all.

Urmstongran

No Matt today because it’s Monday. It took me a while to realise this.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where we have white cloud. Sunshine is forecast later in the day and looking out, the Mediterranean is a sparkling blue so that’s a good sign.

We plan a stroll over to Palm Tree Avenue (Av.. las Palmeras) for lunch at my favourite bar there called Acholinos. It’s a great little place, well worth the 45 minute walk to get there. I always choose the tuna and avocado salad. Himself laughs that I do this. ‘Why not choose something else?’ ‘Because I like it and we don’t come often enough that I’m bored of it’.
?

Help please. The photo of this gorgeous patio area isn’t mine. A couple of years back, someone on here posted it of her garden. I loved it so much I saved the picture thinking ‘ooh it’s lovely, I could just sit there’.

So, who’s garden is it??

I think it’s Galen’s Urmstongran

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Jan-22 09:21:12

Morning all, well I have definitely got the blues on blue Monday. My back is still very sore and stiff so no gym or housework.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

TopsyIrene06 Mon 17-Jan-22 09:39:34

Marydoll, Please do not retreat.

Was it Galen ? I remember being very envious of it at the time.

Kalu Mon 17-Jan-22 09:50:20

Good morning all, lots of blue sky in Glasgow this morning which means Soop won’t be journeying down in unpleasant weather thankfully.

Goodness Mick your injury sounds worse than I thought if they are discussing plastic surgery. Good luck with your appointment.
I know nothing about a tsunami in Brisbane Ash where DD2 lives, a bit worried now, I must get in touch with her.
Hoping all goes well for your DD, I feel for you with her being so far away, it’s times like this when the distance really hits home.
A warm welcome GrandmaSeaDragon
I think the garden may be Galen’s too.

Finally feel an improvement in my side as the pain has subsided this morning and breathing isn’t so painful. I still can’t remember how I came to twist it. It must be an age thing. ?

Have a good day all and special thoughts to those feeling down with worries or health issues.

annsixty Mon 17-Jan-22 09:54:53

Good morning all from a frosty Stockport.
As soon as I saw the photo I thought ,Galen so we are all of the same mind, it looks idyllic.
Warmest wishes to everyone on this lovely thread.

Good morning from a cold but sunny West York's ,nothing planned today exercises to do as usual .*Ash*hope your daughter starts to improve .mick hope the ear treatment is ok .? to all with worries about health or other things.

Kalu Mon 17-Jan-22 10:17:25

Ash, I have spoken to DD in Brisbane and she has told me all is well and not something to worry about there. Hope this gives you some piece of mind, one less thing to concern you.

EllanVannin Mon 17-Jan-22 10:20:02

Good Morning All x.
A bit of a dull start but it might buck up later like it did yesterday. Quite cold too but at least it's dry.

Need a few odds and ends locally but still have stuff to go at in the freezer. Got some steak mince out of the freezer last night for dinner today. It's ages since I had mince so I'll cook that later with a dollop of Marmite in it to liven it up.

Mick you really are in the wars, what a fright, hope all goes well for your appointment.
Dragonfly I hope your appointment is nothing to worry about too.

Best wishes to Ashcombe's DD in Oz hoping things go well, being so far away adds to the worry.
Also hoping others with AC who are suffering I sincerely hope things settle for them.

Must sort the bills and read my meters today---in readiness for the onslaught of their bills too. Then phone Talktalk and ask why my bill is increasing every month. I did try on Saturday but got no joy as the person I spoke to said I couldn't be traced ? So, here we go !! I shall try and hold it together grin

A wash now and scoot around to the shops to get what I need then the rest of the day to myself.
Stay well, warm and safe everyone xx

Good Morning all from sunny Harrogate
Today is my Keeping in touch day, ending with having DGD here. Not sure yet if she if staying for tea or not.
I am shattered after a lousy night, my own fault, I am reading a book which I find very difficult to put down, called The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It's about France being occupied by the Germans, very interesting and exciting.
Welcome GrandmaSeaDragon. I love Rutland, so quaint and beautiful.
Ear, ear! Mick, just be careful!!
I'm sorry so many have daughters with problems, cross fingers, my girls are OK.
Have the best day you can, folks

luluaugust Mon 17-Jan-22 10:20:47

Good morning all from a sunny W Kent. All the best with your appointments Mick.
DH just discovered that his dentist has closed so search is now on for a new one. I think a walk is a must today.
