Me again. Earlier in the week someone posted information about how to avoid paying the proposed increase in the cost of Broadband. I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help please? TIA smile

Love the hair Soop and it will be so easy to manage.
We have a champagne tea to book a gift from our anniversary so will do it for next week a nice treat for us both.

My eldest grandson is having a ski lesson this afternoon at a nearby snow dome.He is going skiing with the school at half-term and has borrowed Grandads ski gear.Amazingly he thinks it looks very cool?I do hope he enjoys it,we used to go skiing every winter and there is nothing like that first run in the morning on manicured snow with the sound of snow beneath your skis and that wonderful mountain air, absolute magic.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

TillyTrotter Sat 29-Jan-22 16:53:00

Your hair looks so pretty soop.
You are holding one very important letter there!
I remember being in hospital once (a planned stay) and I had bought new nightdresses for the occasion.
During visiting time a visitor to someone on my ward stopped to speak to me. He was my work Manager’s Boss. I was glad I was looking “decent”. ?

soop Sat 29-Jan-22 17:08:40

TillyTrotter Snap! I have two new nightshirts all ready for the packing of. No way would us gals want to be seen as anything other than well turned out whilst lolling in the hospital bed. wink

Yia A Champagne tea treat is something you richly deserve. Will there be cupcake? She asks longingly.

Aldom Sorry, I do not know the answer to your question. I'm betting that some of our lovely lot are in the know.

It is blowing a hurricane. Never before have we seen such enormous breakers crashing on the shore. No ferry running at the mo'.

I am doing well with the latest and final pet portrait before the hospital stay. After which, it will be normal service returned and I shall welcome the distraction of slaving over a hot paint box.

To all our poorly Kitcheners, I send my love and healing good wishes. A group hug for all our special peoples. I bless the day you came into the kitchen and for all the support that we share.

Until tomorrow. smile moon

Fabulous photo soop

I have just seen the BBC news showing the devastation that Storm Malik is leaving in its wake in Scotland and Northern England. Keep safe ladies ?‍♀️?

brook2704 Sat 29-Jan-22 18:51:33

How absolutely gorgeous you look soop you’ll definitely look very glamorous when at Ross Hall
A very blustery stormy day here, we’ve been out to DD2 house but nowhere outside. I took DGD to her dance class in the car and then we stayed in with DGS playing board games. DD2 made us all lunch, just soup and a sandwich but it was very much appreciated. A cheap Saturday for us seen as we usually buy lunch out!
Thank you for the snowdrops muse, we’ve got some in our garden but they’re not in flower yet
I’ve not got any information about broadband prices Aldom sorry I can’t help you there
Hope your DGS enjoys his skiing lesson Yia it’s not something I’ve ever done myself but it must be exhilarating (and a bit scary)
Have a lovely Saturday evening all and stay safe if out and about

Urmstongran Sat 29-Jan-22 19:31:11

‘Evening All’

Well, don’t you look stylish soop? ?

We were meant to meet up en famille but Storm Jorge (?) put paid to that. I was relieved to be honest when our Yorkshire Lass cried off at lunchtime. Coming ‘over the tops’ at Saddleworth Moor isn’t for the faint hearted in those cross winds.

Tragically a woman of 60y has died today when a tree fell on her car. And a 9y old and his dad have died driving along in another freak accident.

My heart just goes out to these families. By Monday, the winds will have gone, the sun will be shining and their grief will be unbearable as they organise funerals next week.
RIP dear souls. x

Aldom was this it?
Very stylish hair soop as befits a lady off to Ross Hall.
Thank you for the snowdrops muse my favourites.
Newspaper day today and I weeded our driveway, a little breezy, but nothing like the horrendous storms in the north.
I’m off to finish our pasta dinner, have a pleasant evening all x

BladeAnnie Sat 29-Jan-22 19:42:39

Good evening dear kitcheners - soop your hair looks lovely and the letter makes it all official doesn't it? We've just been enjoying a glass of wine watching the mighty Blades plsy their way to another three points ⚽️⚔. Now a film and maybe another glass ??. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday

Blossoming Sat 29-Jan-22 19:53:24

Soop your hair looks lovely. We’ve been out all day, family get together at a cousin’s house. Fabulous meal, will not be able to eat again for a day or two but it was so delicious! We’ve all laughed and chattered so much we’ll probably have sore throats grin. I love my crazy, kind, sociable extended family so much and I found lockdowns so hard (as did many of us) that I’m loving getting out and about a bit now. Will catch up on all your news, TTFN and TOYA

mrshat Sat 29-Jan-22 20:05:06

Smashing hair do soop and lovely photo. Onwards and upwards towards Ross Hall. Such a posh sounding name wink

Nannytopsy Sat 29-Jan-22 20:18:20

A Good haircut soop!
We have been to the big city (Norwich!) today on an unsuccessful hunt for bedroom furniture. It was good to be out and about and lots of mask wearing still.
Just watching the rugby from Newcastle which was delayed because of the wind.
As * Urms* said, such tragic deaths today.
Best wishes to you all.

Dogsmakemesmile Sat 29-Jan-22 20:31:07

Lovely haircut soop.
Wild, wild weather here in Scotland. Saw it through the windows at work. Trees down across many roads. So sad lives have been lost.
Keep safe everyone,

Urmstongran Sat 29-Jan-22 20:56:35

Apologies GG13
Storm Malk it was.

dustyangel Sat 29-Jan-22 21:26:18

I need to catch up from about the middle of last week but before I do I wanted to say how pleased I am that you’ve got a date soop. It will pass so so quickly and meanwhile your hair style is looking as elegant as usual and I’m sure will still look good when you are safely over the operation. Glad Urms is safely home too. Although I don’t know why as by miles on a map, she and her husband are nearer to me while they are in Malaga. It’s still gloomy and chilly here so probably best to be where you have central heating as well.

Urmstongran Sat 29-Jan-22 21:31:22

I will wave to you next time we’re out to Malaga dustyangel!
4 weeks and counting already ...
?

Back to naming storms - I remember when storms didn't have names and we just used to call it Winter.

Grannmarie Sat 29-Jan-22 21:40:36

Good evening, lovely Kitchen people, hope you are all safe and warm tonight, so sad to hear of the tragedies of the storm.

Soop, your hair is just perfect, another thing you can tick off your list for Ross Hall readiness! My younger sister had her surgery there last January, she was most impressed by the whole experience, you are in excellent hands.

We had a lovely Bookgroup night out yesterday, thanks, Brook, the restaurant was excellent, we still wear masks unless seated. I enjoyed the ' acrobatic duck', our family nickname for a Chinese favourite. Our newest Bookgroup member, my Godson's lovely fiancee, chose American Dirt as our book for next month, I've downloaded it already ? however if I read it too soon I can't remember the details so I'll save it until the week before our next meeting.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, TOYA, NNGB. ???

SueDonim Sat 29-Jan-22 22:47:00

Lovely photo, Soop, that style is so youthful! ❤️

We were clobbered by Storm Malik this morning, the power went just before 8am and here we are, in a hotel in Aberdeen overnight until we can go back home again. That may or may not be tomorrow, depending on the damage Storm Corrie does. Talk about deja vu. I’m glad I didn’t fill up my freezers again after Storm Arwen with expensive foods. Frozen peas and bread aren’t too expensive to replace.

At least we’re physically unscathed, unlike those poor souls who lost their lives.

Stay safe everyone. Xxx

Hellogirl1 Sat 29-Jan-22 22:49:31

Love the hair Soop!

Charleygirl5 Sat 29-Jan-22 22:53:46

I agree, that hairdo is really lovely soop and your hair will be one thing to forget about when you are admitted.

It sounds to me that when the warmer weather arrives Sweetiepie will have made her way further into the house but with an escape route if necessary. She knows which side her bread is buttered.
TOYA

Grandmajean Sat 29-Jan-22 23:03:07

Great hair Soop
Good wishes for next week's consultation.

crazyH Sat 29-Jan-22 23:13:26

Aldo , I think it was suggested that you ring your present provider and bargain….they usually will give you a good deal if you tell them you will move on to another provider.

BlueBalou Sun 30-Jan-22 07:20:36

Lovely photo soop, all set now for Ross Hall.
I’m trying to persuade DH not to do the decorating.....he’s very well meaning but I can’t face the mess, muddle and the length of time he takes ?. I know I should be grateful but I would far prefer to get someone in. He certainly shouldn’t be going up ladders to do the stairway anyway!
Just how do you go about choosing colours? Any ideas? At the moment we have quite a lot of duck egg, I have a pile of colour cards from B&Q but am stuck! Help!!
I really need to work out a list of what order to do it in too.....
Never simple is it? ?
