Got a brilliant 16 yesterday on Semantle. ? Took me 116 goes on today’s. ?

I’m persevering with Semantle.
Good grief, it’s challenging.

I’ve had 45 guesses so far today; and my nearest was my 28th guess with 833/1000.

I don’t know how you do it muse (quite literally!) Well done you?

I have well and truly fallen out with Nerdle. I’ve changed option to accepting commutative answers now?

Semantle. Random words to start with but nothing too precise. Like animal not cow, food not eggs, building not church. Think I’m right but if say the green line is for a verb, the answer will be one too. Even when I’m a few points off 1000, I have struggled. Gave up twice after putting in excess of 200. Pays me to only do it for 5 mins at a time. Good luck.

I just start with any random word - bus and house were my first today for some reason (no spoilers there - they were no use at all). muse’s tip re starting with a more general word is a really good one - I’ll be using that! And I hadn’t realised that if a green line word is a verb, the correct word will be too - that’s very useful.

So my only tip would be - listen to muse.

In a morning I do Wordle, Facle (Scottish Gaelic), Byrdle (classical church music), Dordle and Quordle.

I tried Lewdle but I don't know enough rude words. I tried Octordle but prefer it when I can see all the games on one page.

I really enjoy the mental exercise - but my memory hasn't been helped, so if I've said all this before,I apologise!

Off to look at Semantle ?
