Prince Harry recommends meditation

It was reported on The Jeremy Vine show this morning that Prince Harry has suffered from ‘burn out’ and he finds meditation was/is helpful with this. He has recommended everyone to meditate every day.
Do you meditate? Every day? Is it helpful?

Sparklefizz I know because one of my Godson’s worked for a
daily at the time .how did the press know she was visiting the
former home of the Duke of Windsor when she was on a private holiday, how did they know she was present at a heart operation dressed in theatre garb plus diamond earrings.

She used the press

Maybe because the Press followed her to see what was happening?

Harry didn’t have a problem with the press until there was
Megan,

Anniebach Sat 05-Feb-22 11:23:51

Sparklefizz the press followed her into a hospital ?

Sadly Diana plus his feelings are the only currency Harry can offer. He needs to stop being so self-obsessed, to find something meaningful to do, and stop offering mental health advice when he has no training.

Unfortunately he has no decent advice from the hangers on around him, and he hasn't yet been able to recognise their motives.

I have never meditated. Poor Harry with his stressful life, the money worries. Burn out my a*se.

???

I’m with Joanna Lumley. He needs to get a grip and stop being so self obsessed

I prayed, every day, for the scientists,& medics, to discover a vaccine for covid19, right at the start of the pandemic-as I'm sure many did- (and thank God, it worked) I'm not a big churchgoer, but i do believe. I don't know much about meditation, but am sure it must work for some folk.I think 10-20 mins just sat relaxing is just as good for some of us, just to slow down, take a small break.?

I might well agree with you about Harry but I see no reason to have a go about Diana yet again

That's how I feel.

Nannan2 Sat 05-Feb-22 11:41:03

But yes Harry needs to focus on something else, more meaningful, every day.And i agree, should not dish out advice so easily to others, maybe he could get training in all of the stuff he is advising? Give him something to do to be helpful, & be proud of?

Sparklefizz Sat 05-Feb-22 11:52:26

Let's allow Diana to rest in peace.

Anniebach Sat 05-Feb-22 11:53:40

Harry doesn’t

I wish I could get into meditation. My mind always seems to be on overdrive. If I wake in the night, the second I open my eyes, my brain starts up and I struggle to get back to sleep.

MissAdventure Sat 05-Feb-22 12:58:49

It's just about being "in the moment".
You can try to look at something and describe it to yourself, in detail.
The colour, the texture, and so on.
It means for those few minutes you are in the moment and not flitting off at a tangent.

Harry doesn’t

Well, let us set an example. Please

Harry needs to make a list of all the people surrounding him who agree with every word he says and facilitate every idea he comes up with.

He should also make a list of any who dare to gently point out he might be hypocritical/out of touch/veering off piste/boring/ridiculous/or just plain daft.

He should then show the two lists to Meghan and get ready to make another list….Those who still have a job!

Lucca Sat 05-Feb-22 13:27:53

Yes sorry I meant to say it’s not you bringing Diana into it

Harry won’t let Diana go. All the paranoia about the press, wanting his family to have privacy (there’s a joke) - she and her problems are mentioned because Harry’s issues seem to be rooted in his perpetuation of his mother’s problems rather than moving on as William has.

We are not all the same . Just because William appears very grounded and mentally stable does not mean harry is wrong to struggle. I think about my two sons and their different reaction to my divorce

MissAdventure Sat 05-Feb-22 13:34:27

There are plenty of people on here who talk about having one child who is more sensitive.
"We are only as happy as our happiest child" or something.
There are people lamenting the fact that their adult children have been through hell, working from home and having their children to look after as well.

Harry doesn’t

Absolutely but I think it’s “in our dreams”
Just a thought.. Diana used the press of course but often for a good cause. Also if she arranged for her and the boys to be photographed having fun then good on her

Lucca Sat 05-Feb-22 13:36:25

Sorry I was answering NAdaturbe. About letting Diana rest. NOT anniebach

Smileless2012 Sat 05-Feb-22 13:38:32

I always understood that at the beginning of a holiday or day out, Diana would allow photographs to be taken so they could enjoy the rest of the time without being pestered, but of course I could be wrong.

MissAdventure Sat 05-Feb-22 13:41:16

I loved the pics of her and her boys.
They're the most natural ones I've ever seen of any royals. smile

Smileless2012 Sat 05-Feb-22 13:43:55

I loved them too MissA; unadulterated joy in all 3 of their faces.

MissAdventure Sat 05-Feb-22 13:45:22

They remind me s lot of my daughter and grandsons (and she could be a cow, too) smile
