Although I haven’t viewed the video as I don’t wish to see a cat being kicked across the room, I’m amazed that this multi millionaire footballer is still playing for his London club.

Compare this to the punishment meted out to the teacher that kick

I’m not sure what action you expect RSPCA supporters to take annsixty. Unless he voluntarily signs them over the RSPCA can only keep them if a court orders that they be confiscated. I hope this ‘awareness course’ isn’t an alternative to prosecution but it sounds like the speeding equivalent. That would not be a satisfactory way to deal with this abominable creature.

Cats are weird creatures, I've always had cats, they will stay in an abusive household just because its a place where they get food and shelter - and possibly affection and petting from other family members. You'd think the animal would leave, but it'll soon be 'sucking up' to him, trying to gain his affection - poor little thing!
All the same, it does need re-homing (far away) and he should be given a court order denying his right to own animals for life!
I, and most other people, would prefer he went to prison where he'd get an understanding of kicking from other inmates - but that just ain't gonna happen - is it? However much we hope it will!

RSPCA supporters please note and take action is this proves to be true.

I wish I used Twitter.
I'd go and comment on the westhams feed or whatever it's called.

I don’t use Twitter or Facebook I just emailed them MissAdventure

This I can’t believe, the cats might be returned to him, and he is to go on an animal awareness course, because of course you have to be trained not to abuse animals don’t you??

OH NO !!!!

Very shortly he will be unemployable as a footballer but will he ever learn the error of his ways? Many people should not own animals and he is close to the top of the list.

This is the email I sent to West Ham yesterday (no idea where the q came from)

MissAdventure Thu 10-Feb-22 10:07:41

There will have to be another petition if the cats are in danger of being returned to that sorry excuse of a man.

Are they scared of him?

Is it because he is wealthy (having been overpaid)

MissAdventure Thu 10-Feb-22 10:01:16

Another company has withdrawn their sponsorship with immediate effect.

Isn’t Karren Brady something to do with West Ham? Haven’t read anything about her..

No you won't read much about Karren Brady. As one of the very few women to be on the Board of a Premier League club you would think she would be ideally placed to have her say on footballers accused of assaults and cruelty. Her silence is deafening.

maddyone Wed 09-Feb-22 22:41:24

Sorry, I haven’t read the thread, didn’t know it was here, but I just want to say that I think this man is absolutely despicable. Utterly despicable. I have no more words that adequately express my disgust.

25Avalon

She’s vice chairman of West Ham and an ambassador for their Women’s team. She should be telling some as Alan Sugar does on The Apprentice, “You are fired.”

She should certainly be saying something!

Annsixty, that’s excellent news
Dare we hope for a David Goodwillie monent

My GD works for a company who sponsor West Ham.
They have been inundated all day with phone calls about this.
They were issued with a statement to read out condemning the club.
They have now suspended their sponsorship.
As devoted cat lovers neither us can bring ourselves to watch the video.

The people power influence is good to see. Let’s hope David Moyes sees the error he made in playing Zouma and suspends him.

Seems the Frenchman could face a jail term in France.

Let’s hope so!!

Email received from the Managing Director Steve Thompson Dagenham & Redbridge - matter being investigated, statement to be made public later.

That's what I got and quickly too. Easy to find, just Google the club and there are contact details. The more people that email the more serious they will have to take it.
