Hi Everyone.
I have just discovered Gransnet so thought I would introduce myself and hopefully some of you would like to introduce yourselves to me.
I am 57 years old and have 3 grandkids whom I love dearly.
I live in central Scotland with my hubby, our fish, Einstein our parrot and 2 lovely dogs Sula (a chow chow puppy) and my 8 year old border terrier Gabe.
I don’t get out much at all and I am very shy so don’t have many friends although the few I have, have been in my life for over 20 years. But I’d love to make new ones.
Even just to chat on here would be lovely
Thanks for reading xxx

Hi Toby, and welcome. I’ve looked quickly through the responses and don’t think anyone has mentioned The Glasgow Meet. It’s not till March snd you’ll see details in the Forums topic of Meet Ups. Sorry if anyone has already mentioned it.
Anyway. If you could come it would be great to see you. I know Central Scotland is a big place. I’m in Angus and remember my sister complaining about her husband’s parrots who sat on the curtain poles and pecked lumps out of the coving. I hope Einstein has none such bad habits.

Thank
You everyone for your posts. I’m looking forward to getting involved with all of you at some point.
Some people have asked what my interests are so here goes
I love animals A LOT lol.
I have had dogs for most of my life, many different breeds. My husband and I use to breed and show Border Terriers and Alaskan Malamites which we loved at one point having 6 dogs. We also use to race the malamutes in rigs which was so much fun and the dogs LOVED it.
A few years back they discovered a tonour wrapped around my spinal cord so we had to make the sad decision to rehome most of our dogs as the docs said I was going to end up in a wheelchair.
6 years on they removed the tumour and although I suffer terrible back pain I’m still walking (a bit)
Any way, I do love to walk my dogs down the fields.
I love to knit esp baby shawls which I sometimes sell.
I love to cook and bake too. Love trying knew recipes, my poor hubby being the Guinea pig lol.
I also love to explore Scotland when I’m able.
I think that’s about all my interests just now, what about you all?

Welcome Toby.
I visited Scotland for the first time two years ago. It is an astoundingly beautiful place.
