Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is shining.

DH got his boat back ok although the sea was very rough. He is making sure this morning that both boats are tied up securely before storm Eunice hits tomorrow. Hopefully someone will come along and buy the first one, we certainly do not need two.

A lazy day for me, some housework and washing then I will get on with my latest cross stitch which is beginning to look good. I ordered a new one yesterday so I have an incentive to get this one finished.

Had a fabulous day yesterday when we visited DGS2 so nice to see him face to face after all this time. The journey to Edinburgh was a bit rough with the windy conditions but worth it for the hugs and kisses.
Dance class then pilates today should be easy as I feel like I'm walking on air.

Good morning all from the S Welsh coast, it is a fine, still morning after yesterday's wind and rain.
My lovely friend and neighbour passed away earlier this morning. I will miss her more than I can say.
Some difficult phone calls to make and a Sainsbury's delivery later. A flat roofer is coming shortly to see the leak we noticed yesterday, water must have got under the flashing - that's Mr Lins's verdict.
Hopefully you will have better weather for your visit today corner, the old Severn Bridge was closed yesterday it was that bad.

Good morning from a sunny but windy Yorkshire.
Going out for lunch to a lovely cafe in the next town. Carpark is close by so no doubt the wind will blow me through the cafe door !
Then i want to get some more ready-made pastry ( I'm addicted !) to make a cornish slab and fruit pie as my oldest GD is coming to stay for a week.

I like to her her away from the gadgetry and come with me to visit my lovely friends in the village. They are all in their 80s. I make us all a nice coffee and we sit and talk, its brilliant.

Sooooo, thats my plans for today ohhhh and i think me and Mr S are going for a drink to the pub up the road, typical old fashioned pub, open fires in both rooms, carpeted floor opposed to wood, polished table opposed to huge beer barrels and friends customers who smile and say a cheery hello opposed to those whose eyes bore holes in your head !!

Thankyou Urmstongran, I’m thinking back to our visit to uncles and I was close to him fussing around him but I don’t think mum was. He has learning difficulties and autism so he definitely won’t let you cuddle him. I’m going to do an LFT. I’m not sure if they’ve told him he has it.

I got all the washing and ironing done yesterday, always pleased when the basket is empty.

Good morning Mick and everybody. It’s calm and dry in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 7°C, but I think it’s the calm before the next storm due tomorrow. Yesterday was a washout weatherwise.

A beautiful sunny morning here in Oxfordshire, I suspect it is the calm before the (next) storm. Very wild yesterday.
Very busy working week, balancing and juggling a-plenty.

It’s a lot brighter today and slightly less windy than yesterday. It got very wild through the night, with rain lashing the windows. I’m not looking forward to storm Eunice tomorrow which they say will be even stronger. I’ve battened down what I can, so fingers crossed for no damage - and the same wishes for all of you. It’s really quite scary, isn’t it, as we can’t do much when it’s so stormy, other than try to stay indoors if possible (which isn’t possible for the workers, of course), and secure what we can.

Just finished my Pilates class, so feel suitably stretched ?.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Lins - an awful shock for you ?.

You must feel so relieved about the exchanging of contracts, GrandMattie, though I imagine your emotions will be all over the place, so take care ?.

A cornish slab is name my mum gave it, its pastry bottom ( laid the full width of a baking tray ) put your filling on top of pastry ( mashed potato, corner beef, fried onion and carrots ) then lay a layer of pastry on top, glaze with egg, bake, slice up, serve with whatever.
I have a photo somewhere, i search for it.
