Good news, baggs. Sleep well Mr and Mrs soop.

Unexpected flying visit from our Littlest and his minders this afternoon lifted spirits here. Our travelling son starts his journey home tomorrow evening. With world events being as they are I’ll be delighted when he is this side of the Atlantic. Our younger granddaughter has a birthday party and sleepover, my sympathies lie with her Mum grin.

Had confirmation good friends will stay for a couple of nights next week. So looking forward to spending time with them. Not sure I can recall how to host though hmm.

Sleep well everyone.

Great news about soop’s improvement baggs. Strength to strength now.

Grannmarie Sat 05-Mar-22 19:39:38

That's good to hear, thanks Baggs. Great to know that Soop is improving day by day.

Good evening, lovely Kitchen people, we're relaxing in front of Saturday TV quizzes, the highlight of our day was booking our flights for our time share in Ibiza. We had to cancel 2020, 2021 cos of covid restrictions. I'm looking into arranging airport assistance, and hiring a mobility scooter in resort , for DH. This will probably be our last visit, we started going in the 90s when our boys were into the Ibiza scene, although our complex is in a lovely quieter resort overlooking a beautiful marina. Ah, well, ages and stages, lots of memories.
Hoping that Jaxjacky's and Grandmabatty's DDs are on the mend.
Have a good evening,
TOYA, NNGB.

Best wishes to your Covid daughter Grandmabatty, mine is a bit better and the +ve line on her LFT today is fading.
Small steps Baggs all in the right direction, thank you, best wishes to the soops.
Just rustling up some dinner, then a quiet evening in which I hope you all have too. X

Good news about Soop Baggs thank you.
Duncan and Ruby are lovely.
Grandmabatty hope your family get well soon. That lemon drizzle looks so tempting.
Have a good weekend all.

Baggs Sat 05-Mar-22 19:21:51

"More improvements" have been reported from the soop front, if you will excuse that way of putting it! And she sends love to you all, as always xx

I think we should all be so grateful to Soop for sharing the intimate and unpleasant details of what she is going through.

At our age it is all to easy to take our health for granted and think that nasty diseases only happen to other folk.

We need to know they can happen to any of us - even a lovely person like Soop.

But we also need to know that it is possible to get through bad stuff and move on to a happier life.

Best wishes "Soop*

Afternoon dear kitcheners - just popping in to say a quick hello before our pizza arrives ? ?. Hope everyone is well and gentle hugs to all feeling a little below par ???

brook2704 Sat 05-Mar-22 15:19:51

Hoping your DD is feeling much better soon Grandmabatty and the baby isn’ too poorly - like Tilly says what a top notch grandma you are!
It’s cloudy, cool and drizzling here in Cambridge today, just back to DD1s after taking the DGSs to a local park for a run around. We’re on babysitting duties tonight as DD1 and SiL are going out, so will pop back later if I can when all is quiet!

Grandmabatty Sat 05-Mar-22 12:18:51

He's improving Tillytrotter thank you. Dgs1 and I are watching dinosaurs after playing in the garden for twenty minutes. I'll make lunch shortly.

TillyTrotter Sat 05-Mar-22 12:06:32

You are a top notch grandma Batty. How is the baby?

Grandmabatty Sat 05-Mar-22 11:17:37

Sunny here too blossoming. I've been to Aldi, done the housework and have three washes out. I'm about to get the toys out inside and out for dgs1 arriving at twelve to let dd have a sleep. She's feeling worse today but is downplaying it. Have a good day all.

Good morning dear Kitcheners. Mr. B and I spent a lovely day at the coast yesterday, I was so tired afterwards I didn’t make it into the kitchen! Thanks for the update Baggs, glad things are improving. It’s a lovely sunny day here, so I think some pottering is the garden is in order.

brook2704 Fri 04-Mar-22 22:38:47

Just popping my head around the kitchen door to say goodnight to everyone and so pleased to hear soop is feeling a bit more comfortable now
I’m tired but happy after a busy evening building Lego with the two DGSs and then playing games. DH and I spent a lovely day in Cambridge doing a bit of shopping and having a look around
Hoping your DDs recover quickly grandmabatty and Jax and hoping the boys enjoy their road trip Sue
Night night everyone and see you tomorrow

Charleygirl5 Fri 04-Mar-22 22:31:13

What a gorgeous pair Duncan and Ruby are and both are wide awake.

Another cold, miserable day here.

soop I hope the wound is now more comfortable- you have had enough buggerations during the last fortnight to keep you going for a few months if not years,

Yiayia4 Fri 04-Mar-22 22:02:19

Lovely cake and cats in the kitchen tonight how cosy.
Hope your DD and GS make a quick recovery Grandmabatty
Good news Soop keep on healing.

We have taken more sleeping bags and warm clothing today to go to Poland, people are so kind I hope it helps a little.
Sleep well everyone.

cornergran Fri 04-Mar-22 21:39:07

mrshat Fri 04-Mar-22 21:08:21

Everyone else, keep well please flowers

Nannytopsy Fri 04-Mar-22 20:21:35

Evening everyone - watching our first rugby match of the weekend with a nice drop of Sauvignon blanc.
I have felt very lazy today - left knee and right hip have been very painful so I didn’t get any gardening done. I suppose I should see the doctor …
Good news about soop - keep it up gal!
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Jaxjacky Fri 04-Mar-22 19:27:56

Thanks Baggs better news for soop.
Grandmabatty Hope your family recover quickly from Covid, my daughter is not too bad, but has insomnia this time, I really don’t think your daughter needs that with a baby. Thank you for the cake, I may sneak a piece for MrJ, he’s deprived as I don’t bake.
We had our usual Friday in the local, looking around there it’s hard to believe what’s happen over the last two years.
Wishing you all a gentle evening x

BladeAnnie Fri 04-Mar-22 19:20:56

Excellent news about soop - thank you Baggs ?. Duncan says "Hi Ruby" ? - he might start getting confused as one of the small persons is also Ruby.... ??

TillyTrotter Fri 04-Mar-22 19:19:58

Pleased to hear soop has been made comfortable once more.
Thank you Baggs for the news.

SueDonim Fri 04-Mar-22 19:13:33

That’s excellent news about Soop! I hope she’s now improving more with every day that passes.

Hello to Duncan and Ruby! With the news that Russian cats have been banned from competitions my poor cat is feeling blue - he’s a Russian Blue and feels so bad for the people of Ukraine. He’s just a peace-loving, affectionate boy who loves everyone, whether they want to be loved or not. ?

I did a bit of decluttering today with Dh away. It turned out to be rather embarrassing - I have got so much in my craft stash! ??? At least I can dispose of it before Dh gets home. grin

Dd1 and the two little ones are coming up tomorrow. Peace will be shattered!

Have a lovely evening, everyone. X

Grandmabatty Fri 04-Mar-22 19:10:38

That's really good news Baggs.
