Those biscuits make your clothes shrink.

Same here, there must be a secret addictive ingredient that is not in other biscuits.

I think I need to try those. Not that I'm a bisky-bat, oh no no no.

GrannyLaine Tue 22-Feb-22 19:27:40

Shall I whisper oh-so-quietly "Biscoff Cheesecake"
Its divine and so easy to make......

grannyrebel7 Tue 22-Feb-22 19:29:46

Must try those! I am partial to Bahlsen biscuits, but they're really expensive. £1.75 for only 9 biscuits in the pack. Really moorish!

GrannySomerset Tue 22-Feb-22 19:30:09

So very pleased to know that Soop is safely home with her sense of humour undiminished despite everything. Time for Sweetie Pie to step up and comfort her devotes owner - cats are really good at that, and her moment has come.

The rest of my life is now starting but it’s hard to know quite what it should look like. I am sure all will be revealed soon.

VioletSky Tue 22-Feb-22 19:37:52

Those are in fact the best biscuits in the entire universe

Just eat them instead of meals lol

Callistemon21 Tue 22-Feb-22 20:33:49

Thank goodness I don't like cream biscuits

Only choc digestive, shortbread, cow biscuits - any biscuits really apart from cream or wafers

Georgesgran Tue 22-Feb-22 20:40:20

I’ve just re-discovered Tunnocks Caramel Wafers!!
I can quote you the price in every supermarket - should get out more, I suppose?

Mollygo Tue 22-Feb-22 21:02:19

I like the lotus biscuits. I now have to try those cream ones. Thanks for leading me astray.?

NotTooOld Tue 22-Feb-22 22:46:50

I've given up chocolate until Easter so I am forced (forced, I tell you) to eat non-chocolate biscuits at the moment. B&M do a very good coconut biscuit, the type with a hole in the middle. You get lots for less than a pound. I can't remember the actual make but it was a fairly well known one. Mmm, very tasty, even without chocolate.

Better still is the Biscoff spread straight from the jar

Found a recipe for mini Biscoff cheesecakes. So very easy I'm going to make them. They combine two of my favourites - biscoff and cream cheese.

Urmstongran Tue 22-Feb-22 23:07:36

JaneJudge Lotus biscuit are sneaky. In a coffee shop you will sometimes find one, a wrapped biscuit in your saucer. It winks at you. Eat one at your peril.

Do not be deceived.
They are NOT as innocent as they look.

I’m dog sitting at my daughters and she has custard creams in the cupboard….

Granny14 Wed 23-Feb-22 12:23:07

Fox's Golden Crunch Creams have the same effect on me. I avoid the biscuit aisle.

Thank goodness I am rarely tested by biscuits now. I suffered from type 2 Diabetes for several years and didn't eat sweet things much. Now that I no longer suffer diabetes I have not regained a sweet tooth. In fact I've lost sense of taste and smell almost completely Now all food just tastes of nothing . I have to rely on texture. Ready meals are not pleasant to me so I very rarely buy them.

I have to take my husband to a local private hospital fairly often. Pre covid I'd stay in reception with a coffee from the machine and free biscoff biscuits, some made their way into my bag. Since covid of course I'm only allowed to pop in to use the loo then wait in the car and no coffee or biscuits

Matelda Wed 23-Feb-22 12:50:44

Nairn’s are on my side! I have persuaded myself on to their stem ginger oat biscuits and dark chocolate chip oat biscuits, with only 45 calories per biscuit. My basic metabolic rate, now that I am in my 70s, seems to be about 1320 calories, but I will carry on fighting hard for my health and my knees.

Those Lotus biscuits are called Speculaas in the Netherlands and they are the staple biscuit there so they remind me of our time there.

Grantanow Wed 23-Feb-22 13:07:56

Better check for crackers under the sofa!

Mummer Wed 23-Feb-22 13:14:34

We adore the plain lotus biccies! I call them "hairdresser biscuits" cos they're the ones always with a brew at hairdressers back on the day! Yumm-meeee!?
