Good morning Mick and all his followers. Grey but dry in Suffolk this morning with a better forecast at last. I hope yesterday’s wind has gone - it was bitterly cold.
DiL, step DGD and DGGS are in a PICU in London. He is not quite two weeks old but has been causing concerns over the weekend. Much relief yesterday when he got to a specialist cardiac unit and a swift diagnosis was made. They will be there a few days so other granny has arrived and between us, we will look after the other children, dogs etc.
Where would the world be without grannies?
I hope GM’s DH gets relief soon and the Covid carriers have only mild cases.
I am a Wordle too - I usually do it at midnight, when I come up to bed.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is feeling warmer out there.
Off to the factory shortly and DH is coming in to work too. He is feeling so well, I have to make sure he doesn’t do too much though as it is easy to over do it if you feel well.
I watched an amazing film on Amazon Prime yesterday. The Father with Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Coleman. It is so heart wrenching especially if you have someone in your life with dementia. Give it a watch.
I will read through the posts at tea break time. Take care everyone and stay safe.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it seems chilly at 9°C at present and only 14°C at best today. Hope you manage a sunny holiday Grandmadinosaur and enjoy the break.

Glad we went out yesterday lunchtime as it was a glorious afternoon. The photo is the bill we were presented with for our food and drinks. So inexpensive. No wonder we are encouraged to ‘eat where the locals eat’! Cheap as chips for what we had isn’t it?

Monday already. Our friends from Bolton - who also have an apartment in this building, arrive this evening. Mrs. will be joining us at LWW tomorrow!

Hope all the poorly ones mentioned here feel better soon with special thoughts for your son in law harrigran - needing an emergency operation must be a worrying time for you all. Your poor daughter probably only got in from Brussels airport before she urgently needed to sort a flight back. How very stressful for her.

Enjoy Monday all those who can. x

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently -1°. A bright, frosty start to the day. My prayers to those who have family with covid or who are ill. I'm not feeling great today so I'll leave it there. Have a good day all.

Grammaretto Mon 07-Mar-22 08:51:26

Good Morning all from the Scottish Borders where we have 0°C and frost.
What a worry for you all Baubles . I hope DS makes a quick recovery and that DiL doesn't fall ill.

grandMattie you have not had a easy time recently.
Is there not somewhere you could ask if you need a cleaner? Or you could be like my late FiL who, while out on his mobility scooter, stopped a woman and asked her if she did cleaning. "Certainly not!", she replied "but I know someone who does" and thus they found an exceptionally good person

Urms your Spanish lunch does sound good value but I noticed you only had half a curry. What happened to the other half?

As we all hear terrible news from Ukraine without let-up, I was told there is a piece in this week's The Week for children
theweekjunior.co.uk/
explaining about why wars happen. I think I should read it myself as I find it hard to understand. Why, with a dying planet and a pandemic we choose to solve our differences by violence?

My new worktop is supposed to be arriving today and a new Helper. I host volunteers from around the globe but lately they are from far away places like Somerset smile
I must make up her bed.
Have the best day you can.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast and chilly indeed.
I’m suffering a two day hangover from Saturday in the city with best friend. A great night, nice Italian meal and then on to fun, rather like teenage days, but don’t drink now and am paying for it. There was an incident on the line coming home, so had to share an Uber to get back…
Off now to have my high blood pressure checked, not sure if my gallivanting will have improved it or not…
Thoughts to anyone with troubles and prayers for Ukraine.

Urms your Spanish lunch does sound good value but I noticed you only had half a curry. What happened to the other half?

Himself had media ratione of the curry & I had the same of the warm chicken livers. It was plenty with accompanying bread and a handful of chips as we had black pudding and spicy potatoes to share for our first course. Eating down on the marina is twice the price (at least) but then that’s for us tourists as well as the Spanish and I dare say commercial rents are a premium price down there!

Good morning Mick and everybody. Very chilly in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 1°C.

Hope your DS and his partner are OK and only have mild symptoms baubles.

Hope your DH is feeling a bit better*GrandMattie*.

Much celebration for the Gagas, enjoy your brunch.

Have fun herding those cats Sapphire.

I like the friendship ribbon idea Ash: I hope your DH has a trouble free journey tomorrow.

Have a lovely time Grandmadinosaur.

Keeping my fingers crossed for your SiL harrigran. Your poor DD must be worried sick.

Safe journey Brook.

Another Wordle fan here, such a simple game but such good fun and gets the brain working.

The people of Ukraine are in my thoughts. ????

Not much planned for today, other than walking practice and usual physio exercise. My balance was been bad over tha past week so I shall work on my core stability.

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where we have yet another frosty morning. Much better than grey and rain.
Yesterday morning I told myself I would stay in and rest my back but it proved impossible with the sun shining. I went for a walk in the park where the ducks were being noisy on the lake and the catkins and may blossom were out. Very uplifting, spring is definitely here! After lunch I went out and dug yet another hole for yet another shrub. You may wonder how many holes are yet to be dug. Well, at least half a dozen plants are sitting around in pots and I have a mental list of more to buy. I'm looking forward to a summer when I can sit on the patio enjoying my plants knowing that there is no big lawn to mow.
Today is the usual housework and laundry morning with a new book to read in the afternoon. I also have some shelving to put together.
Your poor DH, grandMattie, I do hope he's offered some prompt relief from what sounds like miserable pain being endured.

Wishing you all a pleasant day if possible.

Good morning all from another overcast day in W Kent. Some sun yesterday thank goodness. Lovely afternoon spent with DD2 and family, really felt I had caught up a bit on all the goings on. Waiting for a phone call/message from the GP probably in for a long wait so tidying around kitchen look better already, well I think so!! Take care everyone.

Chrissielou Mon 07-Mar-22 10:34:39

Lovely and sunny but it is a cold and windy morning here in Oxfordshire. I too am a wordle fan and for the last couple of days have cracked it in 2 goes, pure fluke I'm sure.
Another working week, the weekend always goes too quickly.

A very late Good morning from North Wales. I have had a very chilly walk and was glad to get back on the warm.
DD and I went to see 9 to 5 on Saturday. It was excellent and I loved the empowering women theme. It took my mind off the awful situation in Ukraine. I feel quite guilty that we can't do more to help. It's heartbreaking.
Have a pleasant Monday everyone and wishing those with illness and worries a better day ☀️
