Good Morning Everyone,
Its a twilight start again this morning , it looks like the start of nice day with seasonal temperatures.
Today , bus travel to Bicester and back to watch the cycling on TV.
I received notification of a coach trip mystery weekend ,a one night stop over , I worked out the clue awhile ago , Saint Tudno is where its heading.
Also looked into a Harrogate return, but by rail, and self booking a Hotel , the one I used when I last did it seems to be back to normal as regards to things.
Take Care,
Mick

Morning from S Lanarkshire, I’m on my way by train to meet friends in Glasgow. I shared a house with her when were students in Newcastle fifty five years ago and we have met up once a year ever since. Her husband has joined us since he retired and we always have a lovely afternoon catch up together.

Grammaretto cogratulations on your grandson winning that gold medal in the schools music competition, it is sad that your DH isn’t with you to enjoy it but you must be very proud anyway!

Lovely baby news Shazza, good wishes to the family.

Sorry to hear of the new challenge your DD is facing Gingster, I will be holding both of you and the family in my prayers. ???

Hurrah! The eagle has landed! DH now home and asleep in his armchair after a cuppa.
I have phone numbers for catheter support and he’s been fast tracked for urology appointment within 2 weeks. Not perfect but best it can be ?

Sorry about your DD, Ginster hope she is not in too much pain.
Congratulations on your new GD Shazzanazza - new beginnings.
I hope your DH is on the mend Newquay
Sounds like a super car Marydoll I think I've just lost all confidence in driving now.

Grandmattie - I read the gransnet posts far to occasionally but your post made my heart skip a beat. My youngest son chose his first choice University of Kent and I wish I lived across the village. Instead I am a nurse in California, working at Stanford and missing all my 3 boys scattered near and far.

May I join this lovely thread.
Good morning from a somewhat cool (16 degrees) in Auckland NZ.
As per usual on the weekend all year round I get up as soon as it's light outside and take a coffee out to the porch. I can easily spend two or more hours there reading the news and grans/mumsnet, doing the wordle and a crossword or two. Meanwhile my beloved and our tabby cat snooze on.
This year I've also managed to get in porch time on a Friday when I work from home. It sure beats the 45 minute morning commute. I work in a national education admin role from a gorgeous office surrounded by nice cafes and a lovely park. Our flexible work policy has always allowed us to work from home full time, let alone during our peak COVID outbreak. But me? Give me the office any time. At the moment there are only 7/70 of us there. I'm certainly more productive there.
I'm sending best wishes to those of you experiencing health issues. Reading everyone's reports represents the highs and lows of the circle of life. Though that b*$&@#! in Russia who has caused such heartache is just a war criminal.
On the agenda today...
We need to get two more coats of stain on the front fence within the next few hours before it gets too hot.
I'll then go out on the looksee for a navy cardigan and start exploring flat black ankle boots for winter. I have orthopaedic issues (false hip one side and new knee/plated ankle on the other) so finding appropriate shoes is a real mission. I live in sneakers for a lot of the year but need something smarter I can wear with tights and dresses.
A highlight of the day will be face -timing DS2's family in Christchurch tonight. It is their younger son's 8th birthday tomorrow but sadly he is non-verbal autistic so probably won't join us onscreen.
I'll continue to visit you lovely ladies from time to time.
