Hats on newborn babies

Noticing that in friends' shared pics of newborn grandkids or great nephews/nieces the babies nearly always have a hat on. Is this a new thing? Mine never wore hats indoors.

Well said, oodles. That reminds me of what my mother said the first time she held DD2: "smells just like baby" ?

As anyone who watched the West Wing will know, babies come with hats. (That scene always makes me cry!)
