Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and looks like another hot sunny day here in Brackley this morning,
My plans apart from watching TV and staying in .
Take Care,
Mick

BlueBalou Thu 24-Mar-22 06:01:16

Good morning Michael, another lovely day here too I hope!
Walk DDog, more gardening, a visit to the Practice Nurse to have my ankle redressed at midday, then I fully intend to sit in the sun with my book and a drink!
Hope everyone has a good day x

I’m glad you’re taking it steady Mick.
Good Morning everyone from Severnside where another lovely day is forecast.

I’m off to do my weekly shop a day early to fit in with weekend plans. Some washing and ironing to be done also sunshine reading.

Take care all ??

grandMattie Thu 24-Mar-22 06:05:15

Good morning. A beautiful cloudless day!
Yesterday was much better. The hospice doctor who visited turned out to have been in the same class at school as DS1 and remembers him well! After talking, examination, etc., she decided that perhaps admission to hospice for a few days to sort out drug regime, would give DH the best life possible for the moment. So, unless he is radically better, admission when there is a bed free. What a relief!
Spoke to DD and a suddenly very anxious DS1 in India. All happy with our decision.
Hope today is good for DH, and for you all. Carpe diem. ????❤️??

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s going to be another lovely day here in Suffolk. Yesterday I finished weeding the beds and cut the grass, so everywhere is looking much better. It would be wrong to describe the green stuff as a lawn!
I hope you have a good day with DH today, GM. Best wishes to all the DDs undergoing treatment too.
I hope the day is kind to us all.

Urmstongran Thu 24-Mar-22 06:33:16

Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s nice to be home and the weather’s better ha! I’m off to my diabetes prevention class this morning which is 2 hours. Himself will try to sort a GP appointment.

Later we will pick the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss up from school (yay!) take them home for their tea and on to their swimming lessons. After we get home I think there’s a slimming class held at 7pm a short walk from our apartment. I want to join. A busy day - back in harness so to speak.

Enjoy Thursday all who can. x

Ashcombe Thu 24-Mar-22 06:44:12

Good morning, all, from a perfect morning in Torbay!

Some lovely, happy posts so far this morning and I can add to the good news: yesterday, my LFT was negative! If today’s test result is the same, then I can restart my life tomorrow. I know these are advisory rather than mandatory guidelines but I think it’s fairer to all concerned, including me, if I follow them. DH remains well, thankfully.

Best wishes and kind thoughts to those with ongoing health issues, especially Mr. grandMattie. Welcome back, Urmstongran!

Beauregard Thu 24-Mar-22 06:51:20

Good morning from Derbyshire.

Hope a few days in the hospice helps your DH grandMattie (and you).

I'm not functioning well this morning after being woken by one of the dogs howling at 4am and not getting back to sleep, plus feeling unwell due to having a cold.

DH has just taken the three dogs out so hopefully they'll settle after that. The boys aren't at school today as they've just left their old school and aren't due at the new one until tomorrow afternoon when they go in for a couple of hours before starting properly on Monday. They already know their new classmates anyway as it is the same school they went to before they moved away, so they'll have no problems fitting back in.

Not sure of today's plans yet, but it will be somewhere outdoors with the dogs and boys, and hopefully tire them all out!

Have a good Thursday.

Sar53 Thu 24-Mar-22 06:56:08

Good morning from Essex by the sea where we have thick fog. I do believe it will burn off later.
I'm rather fed up with being stuck indoors but don't feel I should go out until I get a negative test result. I am feeling better but still have a hacking cough.
DH is now moored up in Whitby and will make their final destination, to Hartlepool, either today or tomorrow. I'm really missing him and will be glad when he is home on Saturday.
I have some washing and ironing to do this morning and then the world is my lobster, as they say ?.
I hope you all have the best day you can xx

Morning Mick, morning All. Sunshine promised for our corner of Somerset, it does lift my spirits to see a blue sky.

Yesterday’s chores went to plan with space for some sitting in the garden. Managed to order a pack of LFTs, felt a real positive. Admin will keep me indoors for a couple of hours this morning while some laundry processes then perhaps a walk. See how we feel. Mr C has offered to spring clean the kitchen, he may just want to sit after that.

Good to read positive news from ash and grandmattie. Thinking of all poorly people and those with family and other worries.

Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Jaxjacky Thu 24-Mar-22 06:58:33

Good morning from a sunny S Hants.
Better news thus far on here with some phews of relief.
You sound very determined Urms good luck.
Voluntary phones today, but I’ll be taking my son and his GF out to lunch too.
Have a lovely day all ??

Gagagran Thu 24-Mar-22 07:07:29

Good Morning everyone from a beautiful day already, here on the south coast. Only 2.0c though it is set to reach 15c today.

I made my Easter bonnet yesterday - took me all morning and not without injury as I burnt my fingers on the hot glue gun. I am very pleased with it though as I am in no way a crafter. We are having a parade at the April WI meeting so I decided to have a go. DH was most impressed on his return from a long day out with his cycle club so I am feeling it was worth the effort!

A pottering day today and I want to spend a bit more time in the sunshine, which is glorious and set to last over the weekend too. We are off to view DD's new flat on Saturday and both looking forward to that.

Good news Ashcombe and you will be able to enjoy the sunshine too now. Best tonic there is!

Dear Mattie it does seem that the support you need is being provided and that can only be reassuring for both you and your DH. Thinking of you and sending a hug. Some much needed respite for you both.

Take care everyone and have the best possible day you can. sunshine

GrannyGravy13 Thu 24-Mar-22 07:12:45

Morning Mick and all

grandMattie hospice’s are wonderful places, I was really worried when my Mum was admitted, but they couldn’t have be kinder. Your DH will have the best treatment, and hopefully after a few days he will be back home with his symptoms under control. Take these few days to rest!!!

Pleased you are negative Ashcombe

Sar53 don’t over do things, put your feet up and read a book.

Urmstongran you do seem enthusiastic, what did they put in the water in Malaga ???

Not sure what my plans are today, but it’s already glorious outside, so a book and coffee in the garden might just be on the cards.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

kittylester Thu 24-Mar-22 07:17:13

Good morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire.

DD1 had a call from the breast cancer nurse yesterday who told her in great detail all about the upcoming op. DD says she would rather she hadn't.

DH and I are both oositive but not particularly poorly - just exhausted so not a lot on the cards for either of us.

Sending everyone love and support.

Gingster Thu 24-Mar-22 07:22:52

Good morning all and we have no fog here Sar, so I’m sure you’re right and it will burn off as the morning progresses.
I’m glad you’re feeling better. Perhaps a little stroll along the prom would be ok ! ?. Choose a quiet time.

Urms - welcome home and you’re up and running ! ??‍♀️

GM positive news. ?.

Yesterday I had a productive day with DH out of the house (fishing). I shampooed the lounge and conservatory carpets. The dirt that came out was embarrassing ?. Cleaned the garden furniture, hand washed fleece blankets, tidied the garden . Phew! But so satisfying.

Dd came in after her appointment to have a biopsy. - firstly they couldn’t find her booked appointment, then she wasn’t having a biopsy so wrong department! They found her down to see the plastic surgeon ?. He had a chat about the op and wants to see her again on Monday to review the scans. This is in yet another hospital. She attends 3 in all! This is all taking way too long and the admin is dire! She remains her usual bubbly, jolly self! While the rest of us are worried sick! (We don’t show it though) . Positivity is her mantra.

Today Dh and I are going for lunch with my 2 brothers, one sister in law and a nephew. This is to celebrate DS1’s 80th birthday that was December 2020. . Better late than never. ?.
DB2 is 80 next year so this could be a joint birthday treat,.

Hoping you all enjoy this gorgeous weather !
???

Good morning from the Black country, lovely and sunny once again.
Not much planned for the day, but we are at DS for tea then we will stay to look after the boys while mum and dad have a date night.
Nice to hear some more positive posts this morning.
Take care all and may you all find some ?.

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 24-Mar-22 07:33:08

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Are you sure your cold is just that Beauregard? Have you taken a LFT?
Glad you have a plan to make DH more comfortable GrandMattie you will both benefit from it.
Good to know you are on the mend Ashcombe. Glad you, too, are feeling better Sar it’s so frustrating when you feel better but can’t mix with others!
Got my Sainsburies delivery this morning, then we have to go to Knaresborough to meet DD1 and a Solicitor. DDs have decided we need a Power of Attorney to prevent us being scammed any more. Dh tends to believe whatever he is told and has lost quite a bit of money being gullible. He just refuses to believe me!
Chrissielou I hope your DD is benefiting from her treatment
Have the best day possible folks

Grandmabatty Thu 24-Mar-22 07:37:37

Good morning all. Polmont is under cloud which is a bit disappointing after days of blue skies. 4° at the moment. Some happier news on the thread this morning. It's cheering to read.
Yesterday was such a good day. After I visited mum, dgs1 came for the afternoon again. We made more mud pies, watched trains on YouTube, played with skittles and went for a walk. He has started asking big questions like "Grandma, where do the beasties come from?" A clear sign his wee mind is working overtime.
Today is a quiet day. I will take the hose over the back garden to clean up after mud fun yesterday. I'll brush it off first. That should be the extent of my labours. I really need to defrost the freezer so I will be having freezer meals for a while til it's nearly empty. So I have no idea yet what I'll be eating tonight. The excitement! Have a good day all.

Susan56 Thu 24-Mar-22 07:44:42

Good morning from Shropshire.Another sunny day forecast?

I am having a spa day today with DD while DH looks after H.We haven’t looked after him for three weeks as he has been so unwell so hoping he will be ok with DH.They are going to playgroup this morning.

DH had a phone call from the drs surgery yesterday to say he is pre diabetic. This upset me more than I would have expected.I have been diabetic for as long as I can remember. We eat a healthy diet and aren’t overweight so maybe it’s an age thing. He has been offered the course Urms so will be interested to hear how it goes.

Glad that there is positive news to help manage your DH’s pain GrandMattie?

Wishing all the Covid warriors a swift recovery.

Gingster, what an awful time your daughter had at the hospital.I really hope things are sorted and plans for her op are in place by the time she sees the plastic surgeon on Monday.Such a worrying time for you all but what a warrior she is??????

Have the best day you can everyone.

NannyJan53 Thu 24-Mar-22 07:51:05

Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

Arrived back yesterday from our week in Lanzarote, so I have obviously missed a lot of news.

My Niece is coming over later, and we are taking Mum to lunch. Niece starts a new job in London Monday, so has to travel down Sunday.

Holiday washing already in the machine.

Wishing you all a good day

Pittcity Thu 24-Mar-22 07:59:26

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The temperature will rise by about 15 degrees by afternoon as yesterday. Our group sat outside in the sun and it was wonderful.
Today I have bedding on the line and will walk through the park to Aldi for supplies. DH will be in and out all day.
Love to all ?x

LauraNorderr Thu 24-Mar-22 08:08:24

Good morning Mick and all from Anglesey where it’s a bit overcast but with sunshine to come.

Good morning everyone from a lovely sunny Northampton. Will have my coffee outside this morning with the daily puzzle page in the newspaper.

Had a nice afternoon at the well-being cafe yesterday; we took one of the elderly ladies for a gentle few minutes walk which she enjoyed, as she finds walking difficult now, and is wary of walking on her own in case she falls.

Ballet this afternoon, then I shall walk round to the little retail park and get a few odds and ends, as I have to stay in tomorrow; expecting the delivery of my new garden chairs.

Upsetting news from DD yesterday; they have had to have their beloved German Shepherd put to sleep. She was about 12 years old, her liver had failed and there was nothing else they could do. She was a truly lovely dog, loyal, faithful and sweet tempered. I must admit I shed a few tears. They are worried now about the effect the loss will have on their other dog, who will be looking for her companion.

Excitement last night, we had a power cut, lasting about an hour. I made the best of it. found a torch and poured another glass of wine!

Off to await my Sainsbury's delivery. Enjoy the day in the sunshine everyone!
