Good morning from snowy Colchester. I am sat in the GP waiting room as my ear swelled up last night. We have open surgery first thing where it's sit and wait. As the weather is rubbish there are only a handful of people here.
Probably be keeping quiet for the rest of the day.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.
Just woken up which is late for me.
I am feeling so much better and long to get out but still testing positive!
Good news your DH is coming home GrandMattie I hope it means you can have some quality time together.
? to Gwenisgreat in snowy Harrogate-and others too in need of cheering up.
Lovely but cold sunshine here in Staffs.
Had choir zoom last night-singing Mozart’s Requiem 9th April. Potentially 8 sopranos can’t sing ? conductor saying we may have to cancel. So sad after all that work.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from South Yorkshire. Don't know what to say about the weather... We seem to have it all... Sun, cloud, wind and I'm expecting rain as soon as we set off on this morning's dog walk. Food shopping today which I do not particularly enjoy then back to sewing. I am trying to make a jubilee dress!
Love to all and have a good day xx
Another lazy day indoors for us as we both have covid. I am getting good at doing nothing! We have both felt quite ill. Glad we had had 3 vaccines. We are due to go on holiday to Portugal in 3 weeks so glad we are ill now rather than then.
Good morning from Durham, where we’ve had snow overnight to replace what had melted yesterday. Looks likely more to come. House insurance to sort out today - it’s a minefield. Dog walking later and fish and chips with a friend in a sit-in place. Expensive, but they’re very good.
Hope GM gets her DH home for the weekend and it passes without more setbacks and he gets his biopsy soon. Lots of regular posters AWOL - fingers crossed they’re just late and not unwell.
Will read through later. X
Good morning Mick and all from a sunny northwest coast.
Son coming this evening so have taken some lamb chops out of the freezer. He loves cooking so will probably come up with something for them.
I’ll be tired as off to art this morning then my little band practice this afternoon. Singing is hard work!
Thought to GM and everyone with worries of any kind.
It looks like a summers day out there, brilliant blue sky, a bit of a breeze but it’s still 0degrees in my part of Oxfordshire.
Housework today.
So sorry that so many have family who are so unwell.
Hugs to those and to others who are less than chipper.
Hope Marydoll is ok.
Good morning everyone from a sunny but cold south coast. I’m hoping it won’t be too windy to do some gardening as it’s looking really lovely at the moment. The previous owner planted loads of tulips - quite a dazzling display but as they die back I will lift them and transfer them to pots because They take up too much border space and I have a passion for perennials.
Hope everyone has a good day. Keep warm!
Good morning from North Wales where it is bitterly cold.
Quite a shock seeing the reading on my smart meter this morning so after the school run I went for a walk down the Lane.Seeing the lambs and spring flowers put my mind in a better place.
A quiet day in I think as grandpa and Henry say it’s too cold to go out.I will collect DGD from school later and she tells me she is coming for a sleepover.
I hope your DH gets home today GrandMattie and that the plan put in place with the various agencies goes smoothly.
Thinking of all our absent friends and wishing all a good Friday??
Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Blue sky and fast moving clouds here in Suffolk and, like everywhere else, very chilly.
It’s wrap up warm this morning as we are on church cleaning. That’s only because I was given the job of doing the rota and didn’t get it out in time for this month! Rapidly realising that the older members of the parish have managed to dump nearly all of their jobs on me.
Out to lunch then over to see DGD etc later. It was her birthday yesterday and they are finally Covid free! They have still got chicken pox though …
Then tomorrow we go to see DD for a visit. So looking forward to that.
Glad your man can come home GM and best wishes to you all.
Good morning all from sunny, cold W Kent. Unusually busy day as we have DGS5 for the day. Off for fish and chips later.
All the very best to everyone.
Good morning from sunny Sefton.
Pleased to hear the hospice is happy with your DH grandMattie and that you’ll soon be reunited with him.
We have had a week of online or in-store-minus-changing-rooms clothes purchases just to buy respectively a pair of jeans for DH and some gym leggings for me. Ultimately our hallway, which now resembles a post office sorting room, will be minus only one bag. Consistent sizing together with a pair of longer legs for me are needed. I’m on the look out for the latter!
?
Sending kind wishes and comforting hugs to everyone.
???
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny but very cold Carlisle.
I went to bed last night with my suitcase all neatly packed ready for my trip south today. I woke up around 4am to put drops in my eyes (regular thing) and was overcome with an unpleasant attack of vertigo, something I've never experienced before. My ears still feel pressured and my head swims, symptoms I've had before when developing a mild infection. The thought of getting on and surviving the tilting train was horrendous! So I've cancelled. I'm chastising myself for being a wimp but reason tells me it was the right thing to do. Not covid btw, I've done a test. Will just take it easy for the rest of the day and maybe take a stroll after lunch, walking is always good.
It seems all you covid sufferers are on the mend?
And thinking of you grandMattie, I hope all goes well with your DH's return and that he is more comfortable.
Also hoping all is ok with you Marydoll. As you are not posting, I suspect it is not.
And the best possible day to all.
Good morning Mick and everyone. Clouds and sunny intervals in my corner of Lancashire. currently 6°C.
I went AWOL yesterday, Mr. B took me out for the day. A much needed break from routine and time spent with nature. Spring is definitely busting out all over.
Another somewhat frustrating day Grandmattie, hope all goes well today. It is difficult when dealing with a range of consultants. My colorectal surgeon took charge of the multi disciplinary team and keeps an eye on things, for which I am very grateful.
Pantglas when you mention using your chamberpot the mental image I get is probably very different to the reality
Hope your DH’s procedure goes smoothly Shazza.
Laundry to do today, a couple of very heavy winter fleeces to do so I hope it stays dry as they really need to be line dried.
May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief.
emptied minus only one bag.
Oh Ekwa how disappointing for you. I hope you improve swiftly ?.
Urmstongran I really laughted at Matt this morning.
DH has had his procedure so just waiting for him to say I can pick him up.
Really concerned about Marydoll.
Is she poorly?
No idea, but Marydoll said she’d been overdoing things. Again. Hope she listens to her body…
Shazza Marydoll was on WORDLE and dress size threads yesterday?
That’s good then thanks Jaxjacky.
Good afternoon from a cold but dry day in Worcestershire. Hubby is a signalman on our local heritage railway and is doing a shift today so came along to make tea and keep stove lit. Toasty warm in the box now.
Sounds great welshsue! ?
