Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Morning all its a very bright ? but chilly day here.Going out last night we got caught in hail /sleet storm very mixed weather .Quiet weekend here hope everyone has a good one.
Good morning everyone from the sunny south coast. A friend pinged me at 6.30am with a view across the fens from her window accompanied by the dawn chorus. Oh how I miss it. There’s a distinct lack of small bird life hereabouts. Plenty of seagulls though. ?
Well done, Iris! I used to be an RDA volunteer back in the day. It was great fun and very rewarding.
Hope you all have a good day and that Marydoll is OK. Take care, everyone.
Good morning from sunny but chilly Colchester.
I managed to get the laundry washed and dried yesterday, so there's ironing and repacking to do today. DH is off on another Duke of Edinburgh expedition on Monday and we have a huge minibus on our drive.
Today will be a rest and relax day hopefully.
Love to all ?x
Our wills are the same GM. We have new ones waiting for witnessing and sending off for safe storage as we did them ourselves and forgot about them!!!!
Good morning Mick and all from a chilly Glasgow. Pleased to hear, you went out on your trip Mick.
Baubles, I have had a fair number of attacks of Labyrinthitis over the years, the first one triggered by a severe migraine. Plane journeys have also triggered it in the past and the climb from Fumicino is quite steep, triggering ear pain for me, perhaps that was the trigger.
Antihistamines and anti nausea pills often help. I have a rescue pack for such instances. In fact I have a few rescue packs for various things. Saves me bothering my GP.
You must be feeling horrible, I hope it settles. Perhaps consider taking antihistamines ?
A very restless night, as I couldn't sleep for worrying about DH. He could snore for Scotland, but there was an eerie silence emanating from his room.Obviously I couldn't go in, so I had my ear pressed against the door, hoping to hear a cough!!!!
I then did that catastrophising thing, you do during the night. What if....,
?
Yesterday, minutes after recording his positive result, he received a phone call from NHS Scotland, checking up on him! Now that is efficient. Strangely the call was to our landline.
The person on the phone burst out laughing, when I said I was upstairs, as I was CEV and had banished him to the other end of the house. I explained I would need to deploy my best teacher's, scary roar, as he is deaf, but is, unfortunately, in denial. ?
I feel really ropey today, (nothing new there), but I have a hacking cough (worse than my usual one.) At this time of the year, I always have severe hay-fever, so normally I wouldn't be phased. What a different world we live in now, questioning every little symptom..
I have just tested NEGATIVE, thankfully! However, I will continue to test daily, just to be on the safe side. I am totally surprised that I didn't catch it from Dollie last Sunday.
DD and SIL are visiting, with some provisions, they will stay in the garden, to be on the safe side. There has been a shortage off eggs here. Probably due to the Avian 'flu outbreak. Last week, we saw lots of warning signs outside local farms.
For days, DH has successfully found a number of excuses to prevent me from entering the garage.
Yesterday, I found the reason why, an early birthday present from DD and SIL. Much to my delight, it is a small wooden greenhouse and SIL is coming to build it today. What a thoughtful present!
I will be delighted to see them, I have felt quite isolated recently.
Enough of my ramblings, I am procrastinating and should really get up.
Best wishes to all and wishing you the best day possible, especially if you are struggling..
Good morning all from the Black country another sunny day ahead.
Having only been awake a short while haven't read through, will catch up after full English.
Hopefully will meet our friends in Redditch later but we need to wait till they've done LFT their granddaughter tested positive yesterday and they look after her couple days a week.
Have a good day everyone and may you all find some ?.
Good morning Mick and everyone from a lovely Hull.
Bit late this morning so will read your posts when I get a chance. Our son stayed last night so just done him breakfast.
Today we have the children and grandchildren this afternoon for a buffet so lots of lovely little snuggles.
My mum has just rung to ask if we can pick her up from her caravan tomorrow as there is a bird scarer going off every few minutes in the field behind and it’s scaring her little dog. Bless her she sounded on the verge of tears.
Thinking of everyone today ?and hoping Saturday brings a moment of joy??
Good morning all from sunny W Kent. Went and had our 4th jabs yesterday, for the first time we had to join a long queue as they were doing walk in as well as appointments. Lovely chat to the couple ahead of us and the people behind so a sociable morning out. If anybody had covid it was certainly a good opportunity to pass it around.
Off to farm shop and then a bit of house work, being away doesn't seem to stop the dust.
Best wishes to all.
Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire this morning, currently 8°C. The sun keeps putting in an appearance, hoping it will stay fine so I can finish the laundry.
Enjoy your trip out Mick.
Hope you continue to test negative Marydoll, will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Congratulations to Iris Grandmattie.
Good to see the chamberpot putting in an appearance Pantglas.
Thinking of all our grans going through difficult times. I hope everyone has the best day possible.
Good morning Mick and all from a mixed up weather wise northwest coast. Just had hailstones, now sun…
Waiting for friendly Botox filler man to ‘refresh’ me so have the kettle on and the biscuits. Tea biscuits which I hate and keep for visitors. This cunning plan means I always have a biscuit in the house.
Rehearsal yesterday and we need a new guitarist as present one is going to take care of his ailing wife. I’ve put in for a young handsome one.
GD and DS coming on Sunday so food to get in for that, must try my new songs.
Thoughts to anyone with troubles.
