Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but cloudy here in brackley this morning, a quiet day of housework plus a small shop.
I am hoping to start and get into my regular routine again as well, but with care.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all who follow.
Not sure why I’m awake so early, but it’s cold and dry in our part of Oxfordshire.
Housework and laundry today then a walk out with DDs dog.
And that’s it.
Hope all who follow have a good day and hugs for those who have worries and unwell family members.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 11-Apr-22 06:39:16

Morning all from a possibly dry West Oxfordshire. Laundry this morning and our Waitrose delivery. Off to a friend’s house after lunch for a Craft afternoon. This is the house where four weeks ago, five out of six of us got covid! I am still having moments of fatigue. I was in bed by 9 pm last night!

Gagagran Mon 11-Apr-22 06:41:19

Good Morning everyone from a milder (7c) south coast. A beautiful sunrise this morning and hopefully a nice week as DS and his family are off on holiday to the Brecon Beacons.

We have a visit from DGD and her Mum today (or tomorrow if not) as she is home from university and always calls in to see us when she comes back. She is our first born DGC and is very dear to us.

Ironing beckons and meal-making but nothing else on the agenda. No doubt gentle pottering will be the order of the day.

As always, I am thinking of GM and others with health problems and other worries. We are all virtual friends on here and yet the concern felt is genuine. flowers

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Ashcombe Mon 11-Apr-22 06:55:14

Good morning all from a fine Sarthe day again.

Like you, Gagagran, we have a beautiful sunrise as the first photo shows. We tiptoed through the dew in our PJ's to capture it, whereas yesterday it was frosty as the other two photos show.

I hope this is the start of a good week for weather and health for you all, especially for grandMattie's DH. ??????

grandMattie Mon 11-Apr-22 06:55:44

Good morning from a clear, bright E Kent.
Had a curate’s egg ish night so overslept this morning. No need to worry, Gaga, but thank you.
The Sunday curse struck again yesterday. (If anything is to go wrong, it’ll be on a Sunday, when people are off…). Fortunately, the district nurse arrived soon after DH was sick and she gave him extra anti emetic. A shame as he was having a good week. He spent the day dozing, went to bed at 7 pm and then didn’t sleep much through the night.
I’m off later to take my nursing home friend her birthday present for tomorrow, together with a palm cross. I don’t know if anyone would have remembered her in her village.
A bit of housework, then completely finish my quilt. Only the traditional initials and date to put on.
Carpe diem, dear friends. ?????

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dull but dry Hull.
grandMattie that quilt is gorgeous and made with love. ?
Ashcombe the pictures are beautiful.

Today DS is dropping off DGS on his way to work so it’s going to be a long day. We’ll go to the park and he’ll play in the garden. I’m going to make his favourite banana loaf which he may help with. Son will have his dinner with us after work it’s a chilli.
Have a good day everyone and hope Monday brings a moment of joy??

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4°. Quiet, grey skies above. My Fitbit says I slept for two hours last night and I can well believe it! No particular reason, but a bad night. grandmattie that quilt is a work of art and beautiful. Ashcombe what beautiful surroundings! How lovely to live there.
Yesterday I had a very nice catch up with a friend who I haven't seen for months. We blethered for hours and I came home happy. I pottered about the rest of the day.
Today I feeling washed out after my bad night with a bit of a headache. I had planned to go to the local garden centre later but I'll see how I feel. I have cakes to bake as I'm having dgs1 tomorrow. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick, morning all from dry and cool South Lanarkshire.

DD and family arrived home last evening, I had a job keeping the little one up but it was worth it to see their happy reunion.

We came home to our quiet, peaceful house and collapsed almost immediately into bed. Exhausted but very happy to have had the opportunity to spend a week with the little one.

Your quilt is a thing of beauty Mattie.

I’m off to work and will be in all week as the manager is on annual leave as it’s school holidays and she has young children.

Have the best day possible everyone. ??

cornergran Mon 11-Apr-22 07:14:32

Morning Mick, morning All from a clear corner of a Somerset. Not quite so cold

Did little yesterday, neither of us felt energised. Dust removal and some routine admin stuff today before a long phone chat with a good friend.

That quilt is beautiful grandmattie, hope today is a calm one for you. We have bibles belonging to my ma in law and my paternal grandmother. Both contain, amongst other things, palm crosses. Goodness knows how old they are.

Hope Monday is gentle with us all.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 11-Apr-22 07:17:01

Morning Mick and all

It’s dry here in S E Essex, I am off to the gym later and GrandpGravy is having The Imp for a couple of hours.

Beautiful quilt grandMattie you are so talented.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

brook2704 Mon 11-Apr-22 07:27:11

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry, bright and at long last it seems to be getting a bit warmer.

I love those early morning pictures Ash thanks for sharing, I can just imagine you both tip toeing out in your pjs - brilliant

Today I’m hoping to carry on pottering and tidying up in the garden - it’s where I’m happiest when I’m not with the family. DD2 and family are all off on a weeks caravan holiday to Ayr today so they’re all excited - I’ll miss them though

The quilt looks super GM, how you manage to fit everything in and do everything you do is amazing,

Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s another beautiful day here in West Suffolk. I shouldn’t be awake this early after a very busy weekend but I did sleep very well. DH is still sound asleep.
After a lovely family weekend with lots of baby cuddles, we have DGS & DGD today and tomorrow. DGS came out in spots yesterday with chicken pox so I expect he will be pretty miserable. We have to clear our bedroom for the decorator and pack for our holiday, so I hope they are up for helping.
DGD and I have some seedlings to pot on too, or they will be past it when we get home.
I hope the daughters are all doing well with their treatments - how did the op go Kitty ?
Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
DH and 5 year old have been up for ages and 11 year old has just used the loo and gone back to bed.
I expect to end up at the park play area this morning.
Better shake a leg.
Love to all ? x

Good morning from a lovely bright and sunny day in Essex by the sea.
10 year old DGD tested negative yesterday so if the same today they are coming to a nearby hotel for a couple of days. They are all very excited to see the sea ?.
I had a bad night and feel a tad tired ? but seeing my daughter and granddaughters will cheer me up.
I love the quilt GM, you are very talented and with so much going on in your life as well flowers.
Have a marvellous Monday everyone xx

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I hope it doesn't rain as there is garden work to do.
A df is due for coffee and later I'm taking DMiL for her 4th vaccine.
I took my new German helper to see the movie Encanto last night. It was delightful. Lots of children there who were very well behaved.
Thanks for the photos Ashcomb and grandMatte
Have a good day everyone.

glammagran Mon 11-Apr-22 07:45:23

Good morning to you all.

We had a rare night away at the weekend staying with DD1 and family about 65 miles away from us. They took us to an Indian restaurant for the best food I’ve ever had in one. The Indians in this area are pretty awful.

About a year ago I had a blood test and one of the tests showed my B12 was on the lowish side but just inside the normal range. Six months ago I started taking B12 tablets. I’d heard they weren’t much use but gave it a go. To my amazement I was tested again and my levels this time were actually over the upper reference limit so cutting back on those. I started taking turmeric at the same time. I haven’t noticed any difference at all with my joint and muscle pain and tiredness though.

Wishing everyone a good Monday and thinking of all those with problems.

glammagran Mon 11-Apr-22 07:48:12

Forgot to say that when I had my BP last tested pre pandemic if was normal. 2.5 years later it’s now really high so got a BP monitor at Lloyd’s pharmacy and keeping a diary of shocking readings until I get a telephone appointment on the 25th April.

NannyJan53 Mon 11-Apr-22 07:50:34

Good morning from a very dull and cloudy Black Country.

It was very sunny yesterday, so managed to cut the lawn for the first time this year. Then we loaded the car ready to go to the caravan in Somerset today. It is stored there, so we are just staying until Thursday to clean after the winter storage. Ready for our trip to Bude in May. DS and family are there, so we can spend some time with them.

Probably a meal out tonight to save cooking tonight.

Such a lovely quilt grandMattie I can just about sew a button on smile

Wishing you all a lovely Monday

Marydoll Mon 11-Apr-22 07:51:22

Good morning all from a mild Glasgow.

GM, I'm sorry to hear yesterday was a difficult one. thankfully, you were able to access support quickly,

For the first time in years, I was not wakened during the night by pain. I couldn't believe it was 6am, when I awoke. DH is not the easiest, nor most sensible of patients and he is becoming grumpier and more difficult by the moment. I struggle to manage at the best of times, but I am exhausted and felt nauseous and unwell, by being Florence Nightingale and trying to keep on top of the heavier tasks, which DH is responsible for, which I find difficult to do. Of course our children are willing to help, but obviously can't.

Yesterday, I heard a noise in the garden, looked out to see DD and SIL, sitting on our decking, having a picnic lunch. They had come to check up on us and bring me eggs, which I just couldn't get at the shops. DD had also brought me chocolate in the form of a cheap Easter egg. There is something about Easter egg chocolate, which I love.

I had planned to spend an hour in the garden and phone a GN friend, who is ill. It didn't happen.
Once DD informed me that our local Poundstretcher was selling absolutely everything at half price, I was off like a shot.
Unfortunately, I got a bit carried away, then realised that DH wasn't there to help and I couldn't manage the packing by myself
Eventually, helped by an assistant, I threw everything in the trolley and had to pack everything at my car. I managed to get quite a few gardening items, a hot water bottle for DH's painful side and a stock of cleaning materials for my nuclear bunker, as my SIL calls it. My best buy was a grow your own bonsai tree. Much to my disappointment, I found the pack only contained four seeds and some soil. That will teach me to not to impulse buy! I am easily seduced. ?

As I have had another negative LFT, I will go and pick up my prescriptions, to save my SIL going. I also have a few parish jobs to do, since its Holy Week, so I may pop up to church. It will give me break from grumpy, Victor Meldrew. ☹

Wishing you all as pleasant a day as possible, especially those who are struggling with ill health or family worries. ?

Urmstongran Mon 11-Apr-22 07:53:48

I hope you don’t mind but I’m coming over to stay Ashcombe! Your place looks lovely especially in the sunrise. So calm and peaceful. How long will you stay?

No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where the sun is trying to shine. It’s the first day of Easter holidays for the Boy Wonder and L’il Miss - they will be so excited to be off school this morning. I’m sure we’ll be seeing them at some stage today.

Enjoy the day all who can. x

monk08 Mon 11-Apr-22 07:55:11

Good morning all from the Black country, weather hasn't decided what it's doing yet but the washing is on so hopefully it will be line dried.
Think a trip to garden centre today we need some more cotswold chippings, and I do like their cakes.
Lovely photos on here once again.
Take care all enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

BlueSapphire Mon 11-Apr-22 07:59:47

Good morning everyone from a slightly overcast Northampton. Washing to do today and run the Shark over upstairs.

I have a tea loaf to finish mixing - the fruit has been soaking in strong tea overnight, so just flour and an egg to add and then bake. It will go in the freezer ready for my coffee morning next week.

Still suffering from my cold and have tested negative again this morning, but am still going to stay away from people this week. I am planning on coming out of hibernation for a health walk on Thursday evening. Phone calls to make today to reschedule appointments for dentist, blood pressure check and hairdresser.

Must go and sort the washing out; have a pleasant Monday everyone.

merlotgran Mon 11-Apr-22 08:08:43

Good morning all from a sunny(ish) and breezy south coast. The local library is having their Easter Fayre today so I will pop in for a look before going to the new garden centre which opens today. Why does everything happen at once??

Thank you, Jax for giving me the heads up about a ‘pop up’ nursery in the town every Tuesday. Guess where I’m going tomorrow? ?

Hope everyone has a good day. Especially those caring for poorly loved ones and needing strength. X

Anniebach Mon 11-Apr-22 08:18:03

Good morning Auntyflo and all x
