I know that I’m mad; but I'm not sure if it’s her… ?

I know that I’m on very dodgy ground…
But the photos in The Times don’t really look like HM.
The woman in the photos has a much smaller nose.

I really have my doubts

Esspee Sat 14-May-22 19:27:41

She looked like the Queen to me.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 14-May-22 19:32:14

Ooer! I have no idea!

Urmstongran Sat 14-May-22 19:38:59

It’s HM the Queen without doubt.

dragonfly46 Sat 14-May-22 19:43:26

Of course it is.. please don’t start with the conspiracy theories.

SueDonim Sat 14-May-22 19:48:19

Isn’t that James Corden chauffeuring the car?

Witzend Sat 14-May-22 19:50:17

She looked like the Queen to me.

Our Times has this same front page pic.
No doubt in my mind!

Oh odd photos though, as in not at all flattering; but definitely HM, just not the type of photos we're used to seeing.

annodomini Sat 14-May-22 19:56:02

That's the Queen in a far more relaxed mood than the way we usually see her, with her public face on. Good for her!

Gingster Sat 14-May-22 20:05:41

It’s definitely Her Maj, but I’ve never seen her looking so relaxed, happy and smiley. ?

Joseanne Sat 14-May-22 20:29:06

The missing bottom tooth confirms it is the Queen.

lemsip Sat 14-May-22 20:29:51

she's always relaxed and happy at the races especially when her forse wins!

notgran Sat 14-May-22 20:32:57

Yes, I think you possibly are mad FannyCornforth grin

Grandma70s Sat 14-May-22 20:39:59

Wearing glasses can alter the look of a nose.

TerriBull Sat 14-May-22 20:41:27

Yes you're right Sue Donin, definitely James Cordon driving, anyone who saw him in "One Man Two Guvernors" will know he applied his method acting skills to that role and somehow has continued in that vein in real life. So on the one hand he is a highly overpaid well remunerated talk show host in the US but flits back across the Atlantic to drive Her Majesty around, because we have it on good authority she needs the right people around her. Possibly this is a covert role so he can keep her up to date as to when the next big moanathon interesting discourse with a US talk show host is coming down the line, his kids, we are told, enjoying playdates over at H&M's place, they're bound to discuss that whilst moulding something meaningful with ethically sourced sustainable play dough or whatever!

Serendipity22 Sat 14-May-22 20:52:01

The shape of the ears tells me it is HM. smile

Joseanne Sat 14-May-22 20:54:18

TerriBull grin
And afterwards he drives Her Majesty home and joins her for afternoon tea.

Vintagejazz Sat 14-May-22 21:04:50

Why on earth would they wheel out some elderly woman and pretend she's the Queen? Everyone knows she's 96 and beginning to fail. It will of course be sad when she dies, and the end of an era, but not unexpected.

There's nothing to cover up.

TerriBull Sat 14-May-22 21:06:11

........don't fancy Her Majesty chances of getting even the tinniest slither Joseanne grin

Callistemon21 Sat 14-May-22 21:18:45

She looked like the Queen to me.

No-one else would have that hairstyle surely?

Except my Mum - I could put it in rollers with my eyes closed!!

lemsip Sat 14-May-22 21:19:01

look at these lovely photos of the queen this week at the races with edward and sophie.

any photos showing the missing tooth are old! That gap was plugged weeks ago.

I think The Times needs a new photographer!!
Those photos are blurry and terrible.

Thanks, lemsip

I like that she's looking so happy these days. Her clothes have changed a bit too. More flowery dresses than formal coats and hats. All good!

SueDonim Sat 14-May-22 21:49:11

Terribull! ?
