Do you iron tea towels

I don't iron anything. I did buy a steamer to try instead of using the iron but I don't use that either.

Some people just like ironing. I loathe and despise it and the idea of ironing a teatowel is beyond my ken. (Husband irons the duvet covers and pillowcases.)

NO!!! I don’t iron really. Clothes only get creased up again in the drawers / wardrobe. I fold neatly, put away and, if necessary, iron things as and when I wear them. I would never iron tea towels!!!

I sometimes iron pillowcases, and jeans if they haven’t had a good blow on the washing line, I wouldn’t dream of ironing anything else.

I iron tea towels, I find it quite satisfying, plus I reckon it kills off any bacteria .

Yes I do. They are the first things I iron each time I do any ironing. If the iron is going to splutter marks or scale on anything it's only a tea towel and not my favourite top.

What's a tea towel?? And what about an an iron?? I iron as little as I can get away with as infrequently as possible - I have 8 shirts & 2 dresses which have been waiting for the iron for months. I rarely use a tea towel....

i knew somebody that "trained" their washing not to need the iron. how that worked i do not know but i do know ironing should be made illegal .

When we loved in Zambia and Kenya many years ago we had to iron everything because if the Putzi fly laying its eggs... If the sun didn't kill the eggs, the iron did. We couldn't iron the dog though and dad had to squeeze the fly maggots out of the poor dog's skin, after the eggs hatched.

If I take things out the tumble dryer as soon as it stops then lay out everything neatly over the furniture, there's seldom anything that needs ironing. One exception is a glass cloth which always remains crumpled, so I iron that.

I iron tea towels (and have a 'hidden' drawer which strangely gives me a frisson of pleasure when opened and they are all sitting neatly). Perhaps I should 'get a life'?!

The thing is that I am the most unorganised person so why this affectation I don't know.

I hate unironed sheets and duvets and iron all clothing.

My children, well, not so much! One has egged on the other so their irons are rarely used, to the extent that I don't think the 'egging on one' possesses such an implement.

Apparently there are ironing services for shirts or they are self-ironing. Who knew?

Ironing in the one housework activity that I actually enjoy as one can really see the end result.

I iron the linen ones, but no others. Reading this thread, I have decided to buy no more linen ones. I would iron pillowcases and duvet cover only if having guests who are not family, so that hasn’t happened since about 2017!. I iron very little else.

Yes I do, they fit better in my drawer and look nicer hanging on the cupboard handles. Hardly iron anything so save up til I have 4 or 6 to iron.

I love ironing and do everything except socks, undies and towels. It all looks so much better after I have steam ironed them.

I love ironing tea towels. Always have even when I was working full-time. My DD thinks I’m mad.

Life is to short to iron tea towels , duvet covers, sheets pillow cases and the like but definitely not towels of any sort

I iron some tea towels, the linen like ones that are stiff if you don't. DH has taken to doing his own ironing since retirement and always irons his boxers! I prefer the fold and smooth method for the vast majority of my clothes.

I have an iron that well it sees the light of day rarely. I don’t iron unless I have too.

My late mom ironed everything from dishcloths, dusters, socks, pants, bedding and well everything.

God no! Having had 4 children even my late mom who loved ironing and did ours however started to also skipped things as the years progressed.

I iron Tea Towels, and each tea towel has a matching coloured hand towel to go with it ...... I know, I need to get a life! Totally agree! Am working on that bit!
