It is raining and thunderstorms are forecast- not quite the day I had wanted. Definitely not the warmest day- there really is no pleasing me today.

Good morning dear Kitcheners. I hope you all have a wonderful day, whatever you are doing
No sunbathing today Charleygirl although no storms here yet. In fact it’s quite sunny so I’ve been doing some long overdue weeding,
I love the long sticky ones (cleavers) that are so easy to pull out but the firmly embedded ones are a pain,
Pleasant day everyone.
It’s just poured down here and not that warm, just finished cleaning and washing, I’ll greenhouse potter after reading my weekly newspaper treat.
Enjoy your day all x
Blossoming I hope things get better soon. Ladies it is glorious weather in central Scotland. Warm with beautiful blue skies. I have been for breakfast with a friend, have a washing out and another on and I'm off to water the garden. Chicken and ham salad for dinner later. Have a good day all.
News from baubles. Her recovery from the surgery and everything is continuing well and she hoped on Wednesday to be discharged within a few days. I only just got the message as it had got archived for some reason. I suppose it's possible baubles is already home. Anyway, it's good news and I know you'll all be delighted to hear it. I sent love from all.
Oh that is good news Baggs thank you

51 ?
Whoops. Sorry. 50
Brilliant news Baggs.Thank you for the update.
Great to hear that, thank you Baggs.
SUPER news of Baubles continuing recovery. Thank you, Baggs for updating us.
We have a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. All promising for the Jubilee village celebrations tomorrow afternoon.
You will have a photo of the razor cut when I feel brave enough to show you.
This afternoon I am dedicating my time to the pet portrait. You will also see a photo of that in due course.
Thank you Baggs, all good.
You’ve spurred me on soop to try and find a hairdresser who will razor cut my hair, it needs a good taming right now.
Hello everyone. Sorry I've been off of here again for awhile. Stuff has been happening with family. DD1,SIL and family are now settled in Hong Kong. We miss them but have been catching up via video calls.
DD3 hasn't been very well having various tests to see what is actually wrong.
Jax My hairdresser is a whizz with the razor. I went into the salon with a five month growth and said...I trust your judgement. I am in your capable hands. My hair is, as a result, VERY short and spikey. Beautifully cut. It always takes a few days for me to come to terms with the new me.
Welcome back, Nannyfaraway. Sorry to hear that your daughter is poorly. If you need to share, we are here for you.
The pet portrait is pleasing. I should be able to post it after the holiday weekend.
It is blisteringly hot. Not a cloud in the sky. We sat out with a cup of tea, but had to return indoors because we could feel the sun burning our skin.
Much love to you all. I shall return tomorrow morning. We then have sandwiches to cut for the afternoon Jubilee buffet.

Great news about baubles thanks for updating us baggs
Well it’s a scorcher here in Inverness today, 23º and not a cloud in the sky. I’ve had such a lovely day, saw DD2 and DGC this morning, a walk by the River Ness which was sparkling in the sunshine, a trip to the park and a picnic with DGS and then back home where DH and I enjoyed our very own Jubilee afternoon tea in the garden - with a very big pot of tea and a bottle of Chardonnay
Hoping your DD3 feels a bit better soon nannyfaraway and the tests are over and done with quickly ?
Thank you baggs I’m so pleased to hear the good news about baubles
Please send the sun down here brook where it is so cold I’ve just put the heating on! The afternoon tea looks delicious. You have a lovely garden.
Today we went out for lunch. Nothing too fancy just a nice place that does fish in many shapes and forms. We’d parked in a nearby car park £3 for 24 hours. All great till on our return we found a parking notice and fine of £25 for incorrect parking. DH had gone slightly over the marked line. The air was blue. There were no cars anywhere around us both when we parked or returned. Thinking of all the times we’ve seen cars much bigger than ours going over parking space lines. Oh well a more expensive lunch than we thought.
I’m looking forward to a night in watching the concert from Buckingham Palace.
Enjoy your evening all whatever you are doing.
We had a lovely bbq yesterday with our family, in the end I left out meringues, whipped cream and strawberries, everyone made their own concoction, picture is mine.
Leftover tonight for us, with some coronation coleslaw that fell into my basket about an hour ago.
Enjoy your evening all, storms forecast here later x
Blummin heck grandmadinosaur that’s a bit steep for just parking a bit over a line - what a jobsworth, I’d be livid too!
Looks yummy Jax strawberries, cream and meringue- perfect!
Evening everyone. It's been a beautiful day here in this part of Scotland. Thank you everyone for my welcome back. Grateful to be part of this place.
Can't wait to see the haircut soop.
I hope your daughter receives the treatment she requires as soon as possible nannyfaraway. I am glad baubles is on the mend.
Going to watch some of the jubilee concert shortly.
It is great to be here. Restricting my screen time because of the labyrynthitis so zipping off. x
Yes we thought so too brook if it isn’t paid in two weeks time it goes up to £50. So annoying.
Grandmadinosaur I would be raging at that fine! So unfair.
I know Grandmabatty I’ve never heard of it before.
