That's a favourite book JaxJacky! Bath over, he's having a biscuit and a cup of milk before bed. Then grandma will tidy up and relax

Oh soop,I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, what a shock.

Grandmabatty,I hope your sleepover goes better than ours?DGD slept all night,Henry slept for four hours then decided he didn’t want to be upstairs??‍♀️he also didn’t want to be on the recliner in the living room so DH slept in the conservatory with him??‍♀️We had a lovely day playing in the garden then when we took them home DD had made a roast dinner for us all.Very welcome,I think it would have been a bowl of cornflakes if we had been making our own tea?

That’s so sad, Soop. Your poor friend. flowers

Liamsnanna Bepanthan cream is excellent for nanny rash. It’s bright yellow and stains if you get it on whites/pastels but it’s a miracle!

My daughter is here for the weekend, which is lovely. I cooked spaghetti Bol for dinner followed by strawberry crumble and clotted cream icecream for pudding. Lots of wine too! We are now stuffed and collapsed on the sofa.

‘Evening All’.

We are back from our 10 day holiday in Ibiza. The 9 of us had a wonderful time. The suitcase was unpacked a couple of days ago & the laundry washed, dried and put away. The sun has been shining here today and when I spoke with my stepfather on the phone at lunchtime he told me that hot sunny weather is on its way next week. Lovely!
???

I’ve a lot of catching up to do in here. In the meantime best wishes to you all. x

A mix of Kitchen news today.

I’m so sorry soop, it’s always harder when we aren’t able to be with someone physically.

Excellent news ann, hope you’ve found some real life bubbles.

Wishing your daughter the least difficult path possible through her treatment kitty. We’ll all be cheering her on and do understand how hard it will be for her mum.

TOYA

So sorry to hear about your poor friend and her husband soop hoping things stabilise and he begins to recover. What a shock for you all

Hoping you and your vip visitor have a lovely evening grandmabatty - definitely the very hungry caterpillar!

I’ve had another lovely but exhausting day here at DD1s today. Lots going on, DGSs we’re at swimming lessons first thing, then one went to birthday party and the other had a friend over to play. Meanwhile DD and I went to Scottsdales (the local garden centre) and spent a small fortune on new plants and pots for the sunny terrace and balcony. We tend to do this every year as she’s not very good at remembering to water things and they don’t survive very well when it’s hot and sunny here

It’s my last evening so they’re making the most of it and gone out into town tonight. They don’t really have any other babysitters and I really don’t mind as I like to feel that I’m useful. It’s just about quiet now upstairs so a cuppa and a biscuit to recover … I would much prefer a G&T but won’t at the moment! I live in a bungalow but DD1s house is a three storey townhouse and I just hate the stairs - the DGSs sleep on the very top floor and I’m up and down to them like a yo yo ?

Sounds like your evening and mine are fairly similar Brook. I've been into his bedroom to check he's sound asleep and okay a couple of times. It sounds like you have had a lovely time with your family.

Good evening everyone. Welcome back Urms - I have mountains of ironing too ( she said hopefully?)
I hope Ann & Kitty can feel the love and best wishes coming their way.
We went on a plant sale/garden visit today which was a lovely day out. New irises bought, for my front garden and a rather lovely new hosta.
Sleep well everyone

Oh soop what a shock for your friend.
Wishing your DD and you, all the best for next week. Chemo is hard but doable and hopefully by Christmas will be over.

Good morning, Soop and lovely Kitchen people, apologies for being AWOL recently...

I'm so sorry about Soop's friend, Kitty's DD, YiaYia's DiL's DF and anyone I've missed with health worries. Glad to hear things look much better for Annsixty's DGD.

My DH had a chest infection last week, antibiotics didn't help, he was rushed to hospital ( blue lights) after collapsing, paramedics said chest sepsis and suspected COPD, doctors haven't said much but he is on oxygen, drip, IV antibiotics etc. DSs 1,2 and 3 have visited...I'm a bit discombobulated just now....hospital visiting this afternoon.

I'm off to morning Mass soon, I'll light candles and offer prayers for all those who need/wish them.???????

TOYA.

Grandmabatty Sun 12-Jun-22 10:15:06

So sorry to hear about your DH Granmarie flowers

Bellanonna Sun 12-Jun-22 10:19:26

Grannmarie, I’m sorry to read that about your DH. The IV meds will help him greatly,as they have done with my husband, but it’s always a shock when someone close to you is whisked off in an ambulance. He’s in the best place and should be back home soon. ?

dragonfly46 Sun 12-Jun-22 10:23:40

My message above was for kitty. My excuse - it was late!

Sending you all best wishes for you DH Grannmarie.

kittylester Sun 12-Jun-22 10:37:14

Grannmarie, oh my goodness. Please keep us informed.

Life is very fraught at the moment for lots of us isn't it?

ShazzaKanazza Sun 12-Jun-22 10:41:43

Good Morning lovely Kitcheners. I’ve a few minutes to catch up before we pop out and I’ve realised I’ve missed so much news this week with being busy. Also Stranger Things binge watching has stopped me sitting on my phone.
I don’t know how to go back far on here. I’m thinking of you all though and hate to think of you having family heartaches.

Soop I’m so sorry to hear about your good friend I can imagine you are in shock and my heart goes out to them ?
Granmarie I’ve just read about your DH such a worry for you and sending my heartfelt wishes for a good recovery. ?

Lots of virtual hugs for you all and ? for any worrying times ahead. Love hearing about wonderful activities and family and friends visits. Those grandchildren certainly put smiles on our faces. ? Speak soon x
