That was a right old strop prince Louie pulled off watching the parade with poor Kate trying to be firm in the midst of the worlds eyes He pulled faces, he thumbed his nose tried to smack her face a few times I think that he needed the naughty step , I wonder if that’s where he went when they got home He’s obviously ‘the character’ in the family

Seaman Staines, too.
Alas, not true.

FannyCornforth Fri 10-Jun-22 15:37:25

Or Seaman Stains for that matter!

That is an extremely well spread urban myth.
There was no Roger the Cabin Boy; or Master Bates.
Sorry!

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Horrid Henry. Lock him in the tower!

As far as my kids TV viewing went I’m glad all I had to worry about was Captain Pugwash!

My GS loves the HH stories. I do wonder sometimes they are so non-pc. All the children have nick names that are a bit derogatory and HH does a lot of unacceptable stuff. But they are funny.

Isn't there a Disney character who does the nose thumbing? Can't remember who. Not Pinocchio!

MissAdventure Fri 10-Jun-22 13:27:36

I'm a bit of an old tyrant, probably, but he would only do that to me, once.

My daughter was the tantrum queen - laying on the floor, screaming, banging her head, by the way, so far from perfect.

expensive education undone in a second
Private school kids are definitely the worst. That's why we have to send them to finishing school to knock 'em into shape!

Two of my siblings were privately educated, three of our children were privately educated, none required ^finishing off^

Our kids too, which certainly finished off the bank balance!
Children will be children regardless.

Nothing wrong with Horrid Henry and Horrible Histories along with funny books and JK Rowling have got a fair few boys into reading.

There is a Horrid Henry story where Henry tells Perfect Peter that thumbing his nose is the proper way to greet the queen. I wonder if someone read it to Louis?

That’s terrible and so, so wrong.

Love that Glorianny ?

Yes, I had my suspicions!

I knew about ‘The Terrible Twos’ but not about ‘The Terrible Fours’!

Well, he's only just come out of the Thunderous Threes!

Then comes school and they'll become cocky and know absolutely everything!

Try being an Early Years teacher.
I have a friend who really is the most brilliant EY teacher.
She’s like a Sergeant Major!
