Are you up? Too hot today

Mug of lemon tea now as dawn is starting to break. Washing will be out on the line at 5. It is going to be a long day and it is going to be very uncomfortable

Up early to take DD2 and friend to the airport. Six hours sleep would be a luxury any night. X

I am sitting in the garden, mug of tea and a brioche bun. I have given up on sleep.
I am also going to get the washing out.

Think I managed 7, though I got up in th the night to put the teeny, tiny fan on.

Currently cooler outside than in, so the windows are open for a couple of hours. ?

Just watered my garden and am enjoying a mug of tea outside before it gets really hot.So peaceful

It is peaceful. I am on my 2nd cup of tea now in the garden I have the door,and windows open.
I will get the washing on and air the duvet, when himself is up.

We had just settled down to sleep with the aircon purring gently at 21° when the farmer over the road started harvesting. ? It wasn't quiet.
It is now 26°so will water the garden and then close up the shutters again.

DH has a cold so no one got any sleep

Managed a whole 4 hours sleep and I have my granddaughter today so no chance of a crafty nap

I’m up. I’m always up around 0500.
Sadly, today is going to be hot, long and hard. We are burying my DH. My remaining children and their partners and offspring are here and we shall support each other.

I live in Worcestershire and yesterday the temperature reached 36° here. It's 20° outside now and 26° inside so windows are open. Not for long I suspect.

Now getting ready for work at 8 will finish at 2 then off to the beach perfect for me

Good Morning from the West Midlands. Dog has been walked and I'm waiting for a delivery of a second garden bin. Its the fourth time its been promised. I moved to this maisonette in November and the garden had been neglected, consequently lots of chopping back needed. I'm flitting between my home and son's while they are away avoiding the heat. Thoughts are with Grandmattie on this sad day.
