Good morning from a bright but blowy Essex by the sea.

Once I am showered and dressed I shall go food shopping. DH is staying here waiting for a delivery that apparently they tried to deliver yesterday, they didn't as I stayed in all day.

Later a visit to buy some JL vouchers for DH's daughter's birthday tomorrow.

This afternoon I need to go to our Accountants to pick up our latest accounts which are now filed. I also have a bag of books and DVDs for the charity shop.

Enjoy Thursday whatever you may get up to, much love xxx

Good morning from the NE where we have drizzle.
Appointment with nurse went well, BP not too bad and I had blood taken and was given an appointment for next week to discuss my health issues.
Did a big grocery shop and cooked dinner but forgot to cook the potatoes and also realised I forgot to put the mushrooms in the courgette dish I prepared. Think I am losing the plot.
DD has booked her return ticket to Brussels on Monday, I am going to miss her.
DS and GDs are coming today and we are going to the cinema.
Have a good day.

Good Morning Mick and everyone from rainy Carlisle.
I got out in the garden yesterday afternoon and put a couple of plants in and had a bit of a tidy up. Things are getting past their best now sadly.
I'm off to the dentist shortly...in some trepidation, it's an extraction. One went well last year but this time it's not my usual dentist and the doomed tooth is barely above the gum line and hard up against a highly filled one which I hope will not be disturbed. The one to be removed couldn't have a post and crown as the dentist found the root had calcified. I must literally be on the way to being an old fossil!

Your evening seems to have exceeded your expectations grandMattie. I'm glad you had some much needed fun.

Have a good day all.

Good morning all from a cloudy W Kent. Off to art group this morning, I think a professional artist is coming to give us some tips and do some painting with us which will make a change and is usually fun. Saw dear friend yesterday who has just managed to sell her house after many ups and downs and now has to find somewhere to go.
Best wishes to all

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 16°C.

My new mobile phone arrived yesterday so some time spent setting that up. I will have a play with it later. Other than that it was housework, physio exercises, cycling and Gaelic. This seems to be my new routine.

I’m glad you had a fun evening Grandmattie.

A warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed.

Have the best day you can flowers

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate. We’ve had plenty of the wet stuff in falling overnight so the gardener (DH) can stop complaining!
I’m waiting for my Sainsburies deliver this morning and DH has gone out so I have an empty!!
You seem to have had a very enjoyable meal yesterday GrandMattie.
Congratulations on your DSs long service award Bluesapphire
Delivery here. Must go

Good morning Mick and all from from a wet northwest coast. The cat has just jumped in the bedroom window soaking (bungalow).
Tidying the house today, so domestic bliss and will carry on watching Persuasion on Netflix tonight (a load of tosh).
Glad to hear the bookgrope as I call it will be meeting in the flesh next time but cannot read the book proscribed as it’s fantasy. Anything along the lines of Philip Pullman is a no from me.
Thoughts to those with worries.

Good morning from not-so-sunny Sefton by the sea.
At the end of another mammoth garage clearing session yesterday the following conversation took place:
DH: You know half of this stuff is yours.
Me: Oh?
DH: Yes - your bleach bottles, your steam mop, your carpet cleaner.
Me: Surely they’re ours.
DH: No, they’re yours. I don’t use them.
Don’t men just love to tease? Rather than react to his intended gender stereotyping I laughed heartily at his naive admission of laziness.
? ? ?
Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning allAfter my husbands day in A n E last week with coughing and bleeding problem, we felt nothing was being done,, in fact the problem seems to have settled after over a week laterbut now he has an appointment tomorrow for a bronchoscopy. This is not the first one , the last was 5 yes ago and showed lung cancer, A whole day visit so I will go too and a friend is taking us ,I am pretty well disabled now so not much physical help but able hopefully to be supportive with paperwork etc.
Not a weekend to look forward to! Cheers to all others with problems, and Marydoll hope you get some better news/results.

Marydoll Thu 28-Jul-22 14:05:18

Megs, I'm so sorry to read about your situation.
I hope all goes well with appointment. ?

Marydoll Thu 28-Jul-22 14:08:39

Hulahoop I had infusion of anti virals, less than twenty four hours after contracting Covid.
That prevented me from being admitted to hospital. I hope you get them quickly. ?

Update 09:40am: Due to a person being hit by a train between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central all lines are blocked.
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Hope this didn’t impact your journey to London BlueSapphire

I am quite envious of all those rained on gardens since ours is turning beige but I comfort myself with the knowledge that grass always recovers. Meanwhile I continue to water the pots though the water buts are almost empty and we are being asked to use less water. A conundrum.

Hearing test later today. The pressure in my ears is very variable and sometimes I can hear well, at other times not at all. Not sure hearing aids will help but we will see.

DD and DSiL should have been coming this weekend but aren’t so not much to look forward to at present. This too will pass, I remind myself.
