He’s definitely a dog who wanders - not been faithful to any of his wives or girlfriends. Life at Downing Street in recent busy, pandemic, times may have slowed it down but let’s wait and see.

Jzpap Sat 06-Aug-22 17:22:13

This ??????

Jzpap Sat 06-Aug-22 17:22:50

Couldn’t have put it better myself

Why are some people assuming that I posted this to be nasty?

Because it was nasty.

grannydarkhair Sat 06-Aug-22 19:43:55

No eazybee it wasn’t but if you don’t want to believe the reason I gave for my posting it, feel free.

Kandinsky

For all the ‘Boris Bashing’ on here he wouldn’t look twice at any of us - he’s with a beautiful woman in her early 30’s.
He looks very happy to me ?

I beg to differ!
As was said about Clinton, ‘he’s a very difficult dog to keep on the porch’
I reckon that his tastes are probably quite eclectic

Oh, I don't think so.
Can't imagine him behaving as Clinton has reputedly done.

Apparently at the Lebedev's last party in Umbria- Katie Price and him hmmm.

Whatever.
She is an adult.

That's the problem with Dad/Grandad dancing, they don't know how to control their arms to move in unison with their body.

Yet DH is a very good ballroom dancer, perhaps because his arms and hands are not required to move ?

Callistemon21 Sat 06-Aug-22 20:28:11

Baggs

Callistemon21

Oh dear, I just showed DH and now he's walking round waving his arms about and singing Sweet Caroline ?
Grandad Dancing

? Awww

He stopped because the DGD arrived, Baggs

They would have shouted "Grandad, what are you doing and fallen about laughing

If it was Starmer doing the Dad moves some on here would be in raptures. ?

... er, a definite NO.

'Dad moves' are embarrassing whoever does them.

MissAdventure Sun 07-Aug-22 06:56:48

No idea where 32 came from.

NotSpaghetti Sun 07-Aug-22 07:40:46

I'm not a Johnson fan by any means but thought it started off as a happy little video - but then was a bit surprised he didn't scoop up his wife (and child) and bring them closer to him. It was all a bit distant to be honest, and, as someone else said I felt somewhat sorry for Carrie who seemed to be trying to move in close to him.

The "dad dancing" was irrelevant but the lack of connection was striking to me.

FannyCornforth Sun 07-Aug-22 07:50:02

Same here NotSpaghetti
I mentioned that too up thread.
The body language was appalling.
He also seems to take manspreading to the extreme.

MissA I did wonder about your cryptic ‘32’!

FannyCornforth Sun 07-Aug-22 07:50:53

Yes, it was nasty old me who felt sorry for Carrie

MissAdventure Sun 07-Aug-22 07:54:27

I thought he might have picked up Wilf (?) and had a jiggle around.

Iam64 Sun 07-Aug-22 08:14:48

It’s all about him, though isn’t it. Yet another incident to confirm this

Dickens Sun 07-Aug-22 08:42:53

To be fair, although the second video gave me a little giggle, an awful lot of men (and women I guess) are not natural 'movers' on the dance floor, so there's no reason to think that Johnson has failed because he can't emulate Saturday-Night-Fever dance moves grin.

Personally, I shudder at wedding receptions when it's time to take to the dance floor. There's something toe-curlingly cringeworthy watching adults of various shapes and sizes imitating the moves of the type of dancing that really only works for young, svelte individuals. But it's become part of the wedding-reception ritual... I prefer a slow, sedate glide around the floor meself!

Boris has lots of inadequacies, dancing being just one, and I wonder whether in order to cover them he plays the fool all the time? We can see that trait in children, (mainly boys?), and it often continues into adulthood because it kind of works for them.
Just wondering.

MissAdventure Sun 07-Aug-22 08:47:51

I think it is a role he plays deliberately.
Lovable, cuddly old Boris.

I thought he was trying to make Wilf laugh.

Obviously Wilfred might have found it funny even if many on here don't!

Yes, remember that saying "laughing a woman into bed"?

Glorianny Sun 07-Aug-22 11:00:04

Not a Boris fan but really can't see why it matters where, or how, he dances

Me neither.

Remember the roasting Theresa May got for her effort, too?

I'm reminded of a retort that Angela Merkel made to a reporter who (rather rudely I thought) asked her whey she dressed so 'plainly' (or words to that effect). She replied, "I'm a politician, not a fashion model".

You get the drift.

Neither Johnson nor May should be expected to perform like professionals from Strictly. It's just unfortunate that sometimes they are faced with situations where they have to take part in such 'rituals' and I don't think it's fair to mock them for it.

Johnson is as Johnson does - same with May.

Joseanne Sun 07-Aug-22 14:43:13

Didn't Prince William get criticised for his dad dancing too? It happens to them all.
Ed Balls really improved his footwork on Strictly!
