The heat makes me eat less...well..to a degree...I've just had a bag of salt & vinegar crisps and cut myself a wedge of sharp strong cheese and popped it into the bag .. ate it like a little mouseblush..sounds crazy I know but it was delish and that's my lunch today and now not hungry... whats your heat snack?

I'd snack on banana and nectarines during the day and a wee bit of chocolate at night...Look forward to the chocolate all day...Tonight it's a crunchie

Frozen tiny peas and sweet corn kernels, are lovely as a cold snack.

Buttered toast is my ‘snack’ ?

bridie54 Mon 08-Aug-22 19:58:58

I love a handful of lightly salted tortilla chips ( the cheapies from any supermarket does me) and a wee dip of whatever is in the fridge. Could be Philly cheese, or hummus and tonight will be chilli jam which I had with strong cheddar and crackers for lunch.
It’s an evening snack usually . During the day I’m nibbling on my home grown blueberries.

Frozen melon slices

I've had salmon with roasted sweet potatoe wedges and a salad. I'm trying to be healthy this week and the salad really needed using up

Gosh you're all so healthy and with tiny appetites. I'm too embarrassed to list what I've been eating. blush

Ah well, we had strawberries with blackberry coulis and icecream. But that was pudding, not a snack! wink

I peel and cut up an apple, then cubes of cheddar cheese. They're lovely together. 'Pudding' is usually a choc ice.

Hi I've been on gluten free diet since late December 2021 , have tried all gluten free bread, none are edible, even made my own. I seem to eat same foods week in week out. On plus side have lost 11kgs. Any snack ideas , healthy please. Thanks Janet ?

That used to be my lunch quite often when I was a student - an apple and a piece of cheese!

Yesterday I invented quite a nice fishcake made with leftover risotto and tinned salmon. Today I shall make a fried risotto cake with organic kidney beans and put tomato ketchup on it.

Apricots, celery with Boursin, and now I’m going to freeze grapes! Thanks Lexisgranny.

too hot for lunch, so had a nectarine, and then a small handful of almonds.

I get up late and have brush around 10.30. Cereal and fruit. Coffee and cake around 4. Small cooked tea at 7. That's it. I weigh 10 stone and am disabled but no pain thank goodness.

Cold Muller kefir smoothie, mango and orange flavour...delicious

Lolee Wed 10-Aug-22 11:19:38

I stick to fresh salads, fruit and veggies/chicken all year round. And, lots and lots of ice cold water.

Chilled melon/ pineapple/cucumber is really refreshing in the heat.

We have a buffet style meal with ham, various cheeses, coleslaw, potato salad, scotch eggs, buttered crackers, salad, and crisps. That's enough for the day but may have cake for supper. Not very hungry as too hot.

Brunch not brush!
