The heat makes me eat less...well..to a degree...I've just had a bag of salt & vinegar crisps and cut myself a wedge of sharp strong cheese and popped it into the bag .. ate it like a little mouseblush..sounds crazy I know but it was delish and that's my lunch today and now not hungry... whats your heat snack?

Sainsburys egg custard tart (a pack of two found its way into my basket when shopping this morning). Just having one with coffee now and I don't hold out much hope of the second one still being in the fridge by this evening.

Melon for snacking and salad for dinner. I have an ice lolly in the afternoon for a treat.

Seafood sticks or prawns with sliced avocado wrapped in a sheet of seaweed. Low carb and delicious.

I’m a regular runner- even in the heat and it severely reduces appetite. If I run in the evening I just have a small salad. My partner has just rediscovered pork scratchings, never fancied then before but they are actually delicious. We have a small packet each in the evening while watching TV.

Usually a few walnuts.

I can't say 1 particular snack, but i have noticed when its very warm, I eat less (I'm not a big eater to start with)

Just now I've had an ice cream, no thoughts on anything else just yet. smile

My lunch is Sandwich and fresh fruit in this weather, indeed in most weathers.

Watermelon and parma ham. It's always been my favourite combination.

MamaB247 Wed 10-Aug-22 12:03:48

Juicy nectarine, ice cold watermelon, cherry tomatoes or cherries and Ice pops

Dowsabella Wed 10-Aug-22 12:07:33

Choc ice lolly, or a donut. Just about to slice a honeydew melon!

Esspee Wed 10-Aug-22 12:12:24

For lunch I'm having avocado on toast with spring onions, tomatoes, crushed garlic, salt and lashings of lemon juice.

Yesterday I had 3 mini magnums (to my shame). I had never had the caramel ones before and oh my goodness are they addictive!

Just back from the beach after an hour bouncing around in the waves in the channel (French side). Lunch was fresh baguette, brie and tomato, followed by a ripe peach and a greengage. ?
Wasn't home in time for a snack, but it would have been salty crisps.

We’ve never eaten snacks as such. I assume snacks are between meal extras.
We both have an aversion to anything salty or with artificial tastes, so crisp type products and flavoured crackers etc have never been bought.
We eat 3 meals, all containing or served with fruit, veg, nuts, seeds etc and honestly never feel the need for anything in between. Our treat is coffee made with skimmed milk which is also pretty filling!
I think this way of eating has helped us both stay a similar slim size to when we met in our twenties.

Magnum ice creams!

Naughty but nice!

GrammaH Wed 10-Aug-22 12:35:33

Home made ice cream

NoddingGanGan Wed 10-Aug-22 12:35:49

Just about to prepare a tomato and mozzarella salad with basil and a balsamic dressing for lunch.

Amalegra Wed 10-Aug-22 12:42:01

The all year round snack which is my favourite food! Greek yoghurt which seems to go with anything and everything and is glorious just by itself. Don’t tend to each proper meals too much as I live alone and am lazy, so to me it is the ideal snack along with bananas, hummus and peanut butter. Not together of course, but could give it a try!

DeeDe Wed 10-Aug-22 12:46:28

Boiled Egg and Cress sandwiches today, often I just have a crisp sandwich or a Cucumber sandwich, another I like is a freshly cooked beetroot sandwich, little vinegar and black pepper
Yum!

NoddingGanGan Wed 10-Aug-22 12:56:04

Also a fan of frozen grapes which I use in G & T instead of ice-cubes; thus turning it into a snack at the same time as not watering it down!

Dempie55 Wed 10-Aug-22 12:59:00

Two Scotch pancakes with butter and Morrison's cherry jam. Yum.

I lose weight in the heat. When I lived in India the weight just dropped off. I simply wasn't hungry.
Back here it all piled on again!
Today I squeezed the juice of 3 organic oranges from Crowdfarming, that were in the fridge. It was so refreshing and delicious sitting in the sun sipping it.
It will be a salad for lunch.

fairfraise Wed 10-Aug-22 13:15:31

Like others I have had a choc ice from Tesco after sardines on toast and a few olives. Didn't mean to but I bought 3 for DH this morning, and I couldn't see him eat 3! Olives and cheese are one of my favourite snacks.

Rosiebee Wed 10-Aug-22 13:18:16

Chilled cheese and cucumber soup, recipe must be about 50 years old but recently re-emerged. Have some gin cocktail ice lollies in freezer for emergencies.

MibsXX Wed 10-Aug-22 13:20:57

JackyB

I just ate a juicy nectarine and a sliver of cheese.

One piece of toast, and am still hungry but thats our ration today
