I will be having my booster when I get my flu jab at the beginning of October. They couldn’t guarantee that they would have the COVID booster but are planning that they will. Fingers crossed.

I had my three Covid jabs and my flu jab last year, as did my friend - like TiggyW, we both had Covid after a cruise earlier this year. We were probably not as bad as we could have been if we hadn't had our jabs.

I already have my flu jab booked for two weeks next Monday, and just today had my letter giving me an appointment for a Covid booster two weeks today - I will be taking it up.

I know several people who have had all their jabs and they have still got Covid albeit probably lighter than if they hadn't and they will take up any boosters.

Well, I for one enjoy hearing a variety of opinions on every subject.
I hope people wont be put off posting them.

It's a fallacy that all opinions are of equal value. Unfortunately, there are some people who will be swayed by absolute tripe.

We are in our eighties but our surgery hasn’t contacted us. Will have to go there to see if there is a notice of some kind.

Growstuff yes, false equivalence.
You had a lot of that with Brexit; with the likes of Mark Carney debating the economy with people like Andrea ‘Jam’ Leadsome

Lovetopaint037 as you are over 75, you can book online www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

Did I say they were?

So?

You sound angry.
Why?

I have already had 4 vaccines. Do you think I should have a fifth. Had a letter today, from NHS Wales for 1st October!

henetha Sat 10-Sept-22 23:33:37

Yes, because their effectiveness wears off after a few months and you are less protected. I'm having my 5th next week. So I hope you do too.

Farzanah Sun 11-Sept-22 10:15:37

Yes because latest vaccine additionally protects against Omicron BA.4

Good to know Farzanah

usernametaken, please make your mind up - which is it, deaths caused by (according to your theory), the covid vaccine or they are caused by other things (such as the car accident you quoted) but are listed on the death certificate as being caused by vaccine induced covid? (I say vaccine induced covid because, reading your comments, I get the feeling you don’t believe there was a covid virus, just covid caused by vaccines). Where are your facts , figures and information for all this drivel you spout - you really are talking utter nonsense, aren’t you?
In one of your posts, you say that the numbers have been fiddled because non covid deaths have been recorded as covid deaths (ref your car accident comment), in another you say that covid deaths have more than doubled as a result of people being double jabbed with a covid vaccine - so, do you believe in covid or not?
How do you account for all the thousands and thousands of deaths world wide from covid before a vaccine was developed - were those deaths not from covid then? What were they from?

I will have my next vaccine as well as my flu jab but not at the same time. If I do have a reaction, it would be more helpful to know which was the culprit.

Namsnanny Wed 14-Sept-22 01:40:58

Yes that was my thought too Charliegirl5
I'd like a shingles one as well! At a different time though.
