WELCOME to you lovely lot
SueDonim I am so relieved to hear that your wee grandson did not have an asthma attack and was able to return home for healing cuddles.
Blossoming You are dealing with sounds like a very nasty condition. One that I've never heard of. Take it easy. We all wish you well.
annsixty60 Your friend will be feeling the need for emotional support at this awful time. I only have to think - what if I was waiting for like results concerning Mr Soop's condition. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I would be in bits.
Oh Soop thank you for that message, in a time of such sadness in the Kitchen. He’s still not out of the woods, as he had another episode yesterday. Dd took him to the GP and it seems there’s a particular nasty bug going round. The GP said she’d seen more small children with similar symptoms in one week than she’s ever seen before in her entire career! It does seem to be a self-limiting illness, though, and he should soon be over it.
Thank you, too, for posting the card to Baggs’s beloved daughter. Xxx
SueDonim I know how scary it can be when a young child has breathing difficulties. I was frantic when our wee grandson had something similar to your wee grandson. My middle son (as a very young baby) went through a period of severe breathing difficulties. He was admitted to hospital with pneumonia. Since his recovery (some 59 years ago), he has not anything like as traumatizing. Thank goodness!
Oh SueDonim, I am sorry to hear that your grandson is back in hospital again. I hope he is soon safely over this. My older daughter had similar problems too when she was very young but threw it off completely as she got older.
Good afternoon, Soop and lovely Kitchen people. ?
I lit candles at morning Mass and remembered Baggs's DD and all who love her, also all kitcheners who need/wish a wee prayer. ? TOYA.
SueD, I'm glad to hear that your wee grandson is doing better, although you still have concerns. Hoping and praying that he bounces back to full health very soon.
My friend's DD who is immmunocompromised has been admitted to hospital with RSV which is apparently rife just now, although unusual in adults. She is in a single room and we had to wear PPE, mask, apron and gloves when visiting. I remember reading on GN last year about how it was affecting young children in Australia.
I'm having a lazy day, after childcare with DGS2yesterday. Short walks with Granddog, he's getting older, 11 now, can't manage long walks anymore either! ??
He’s at home, Dustyangel, thankfully.
He’s eating like a horse so I don’t think he’s too ill in himself.
All four of my DC are asthmatic so I am used to dealing with breathing issues but when you see a wee one in distress, it’s upsetting.
Thank you, Grannmarie.
Hello to everyone in the kitchen today, such a warm and comforting place to be
Its a mild and still autumn day here in Inverness and I’ve been pottering in the garden most of the morning. Baggs and her DD haven’t been far from my thoughts though. Thanks for organising and posting the card soop, it can’t have been easy
It’s good to hear your wee DGS is a bit better SueD and hopefully he’s over the worst now
Also hoping that your friends DD grannmarie is also feeling much better soon and isn’t in hospital too long. Thank you for lighting the candles too
Sending love and support to all in need of some tlc ❤️
Thank you Soop for organising card it can't have been easy for you to do .

SueDonim
Afternoon everyone.Pleased to hear better news of your GS SueD.Thinking of you and your family Baggs.?Thanks for sending the card Soop your very kind.
It’s a bright day here and very mild.I’ve just had my hair cut and coloured, always a treat.
Sending kind thoughts to you all.
Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. It’s sunny here but very cold. Soop my hands are almost completely clear now and the pain is diminishing. Apparently it’s very rare, so of course I managed to add it to my repertoire! I feel like a medical experiment sometimes, but I’m doing OK compared to many. Today I have been for the annual eye exam, they are referring me to a specialist the hospital as my vision is deteriorating. I have some (very expensive) new glasses on order which should help a lot.
Hope the wee boy is fully recovered soon SueDonim, it’s so frightening when they’re ill and you can do nothing to soothe them.
Group hug to us all today, and an extra special hug to Baggs and family. I’m wrapped in my lovely Oodie and ready for a nap after eye drops, bright lights and horrid fields tests!
Hi all, what a comforting haven this is.
SueD I hope your young grandson returns to full health speedy quick.
And you Blossoming are special, enjoy your nap.
Thank you again soop for sending the card and staying in touch when your heart is aching for your friend.
Take care all x
Afternoon kitcheners. I've had an hour and a half of the terrible two, dgs1 and dgs2. Dgs2 is wild! He has the determination of a jack Russell terrier and is as wild as the heather. Clearly English is not his first language as he does not respond to "No!" I and his mum are exhausted chasing him away from things. His particular focus is my fire or sockets. Dgs1 is positively angelic instead. I'm off to put the toy boxes away and then hoover unless you have a spare Hansel and Gretel who need brioche crumbs to follow
Thank you soop. Please look after yourself now. xx
I cant adequately express how sorry I am Baggs. Although I'm not a regular on this thread, I do read it. I couldnt stay quiet when I read your post, I have been touched with sadness at your news, and have thought of you so much in the last few days.
Thank you for sending the card Soop. And more ??? to Baggs.
I had an interesting time at the hospital for my colonoscopy. I gave permission for a trainee to do it and he was excellent. Fortunately, apart from diverticulitis (which we knew about) and a small polyp, all was clear. No signs of cancer and no follow up required.
Baggs my lovely...you cry....anyone would in your situation and we'll gently put our arms around you and hold you until you feel a bit better.
SueD... I'm am glad the little one is perking up....and hopefully it stays that way. It's so frightening for everyone.
LLFL... Glad it's all gone well and everything is ok.
I hope everyone who has been feeling below par is on the mend now. I'm still coughing after 5 weeks but hoping it's on its way out now. I don't normally do ' being down' I have absolutely no reason to feel so ...but reading up on Covid and the long term it can affect your mood so even more reason for it go soon. I'm off for a blood test now...thyroid this time. I'll have a glass of red later to replace what they've taken!!!
Soop I have pm you. ( Well I think I have!!)
That is great news LLFL.
Ladyleftfieldlover, celebrate! I will raise a glass of wine to you tomorrow.
Naughtyneine and I shall also include you in the toast. Take it easy.
Grandmabatty I still think that you are super-human. I bet their Mum thinks that your patience deserves a sainthood.
Blossoming I shall Google your condition. (hugs)
Time for me to log off. Two tree surgeons have been busy reducing a few overgrown specimens in our garden. It is surprising how much lighter the sitting room appears.
One dear person remains foremost in my thoughts.
Goodnight for now.

That’s good news ladylfl so pleased for you
I bet you’re exhausted grandmabatty but well worth it ? Put your feet up tonight and have a well earned rest!
Wonderful news LadyLFL, so pleased for you
Prayers and thoughts always with you Baggs.
Please look after yourself Soop and rest.
Great news, Ladyleftfieldlover, you'll sleep well tonight!
Grandmabatty, I laughed out loud at your Hansel and Gretel comment!?
Thank you, Brook.
TOYA, especially Baggs and her DD.
