Do we really need an “I’ve had my Autumn Covid Booster” sticker?

I’ve just come from our local Covid vaccination centre where I was given a small sticker saying I’d had the jab? Do we really need this as Adults? How long are we going to wear the sticker for? And why this unnecessary cost to the NHS? What do others think?

FoghornL. the time to be concerned is when you give the sticker but forget to vaccinate.

I have had all my vaccinations and flu jabs and had no side effects at all. Not even a point of pain where the needle went in.

I do not understand people, whose argument is simply that they will not have the vaccination because it is yet to be really effective in stopping transmission, even though we know it reduces the chances of severe, possibly life changing, illness or death. They are effectively saying that they would prefer to be severely ill or die rather than have a vaccination that could save their lives, but not stop transmission.

Having recently had COVID and been quite unwell because I caught it when I had an impaired immune system. My DH and DD who caught the same version of COVID, at the same time but whose immune systems were in good order, were slightly unwell for three days. I felt really unwell for a fortnight. Think how much more ill I could have been with out the protection of the vaccine.

As for stickers, they just go in the bin.

I've noticed over the years that MPs especially are given to wearing symbolic items in their lapels or pinned to dresses. At first, I could recognise the purpose but there are now so many I've lost interest in what they are trying to advertise. Most of it is virtue signalling. But encouraging people to get jabbed is worthwhile.
