*LadyHonoriaDedlock*, re Angela Rayner, to me it’s absolutely not a question of having a ‘BBC accent’ or expensive clothes - it’s a question of understanding what constitutes acceptable behaviour.
Other MPs, including those in prominent positions, who have come from backgrounds that were very poor or WC or both, have seemed to manage it perfectly well, while taking pride in their origins, or at least not being in the least ashamed of them.
What aspects of Angela Rayner's behaviour do you find unacceptable, Witzend?
Is this a reference to her alleged 'distraction' by crossing and uncrossing her legs? Or is it her habit of getting straight to the point, calling a spade a spade instead of pussyfooting around the truth?
