Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but looking dry outside this morning in brackley .
Today , a little bit more housework before I get the bus to Bicester for my usual routine there, since the iron infusion I have been trying to walk for a good distance without stopping and siting down , the breathlessness seems to have gone .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from s somerset on what may well be a decently nice day

Lovely news Mick about the breathlessness going

I have to get myself outside today, for some exercise. I think I have had cabin fever due to the rain and soggy ground. I did factor in some quiet time after my booster jab but never anticipated the rain putting a stop to my leisure cycling as well

Another bill to pay today, the AA via skoda assistance. I have shopped around but that is best value

grandMattie Tue 25-Oct-22 06:01:51

Good morning. It was dark when I made myself a drink. We haven’t had the rain everyone else has had.
I’m so glad that the iron infusion has made such a difference to your life, Mick. Ash, all the best with your isolation, Marydoll, I hope you manage to rest and to start feeling a bit better.
Tai chi this morning, preceded by a dog walk with my lovely friend. She has taken it upon herself to sell my loom, overlocker and various other bits on marketplace, even have ing the stuff collected from her house as I have become nervous about strangers coming here. Lovely lady.
DL has put in an offer on a flat across the river from here. It is near loads of her friends and very suitable. The estate agent says that as she is a cash buyer, the whole thing can be one in 4 weeks! Her friend is helping sort out her house for sale.
May today bring contentment to you all. Carpe diem ????❤️

Good morning from a calm and dry Torbay.

It’s good to hear you’re feeling stronger, Mick and that you hope to make the most of a fine day, karmalady.

The AGM at our theatre attracted about a third of the membership of 160 and we elected a full complement of nine members for the Committee, of which I’m one. This includes two new members which is good. Unfortunately, AOB dragged on rather so it was 10.30 p.m. when I arrived home. My last outing as I begin my period of pre op isolation today.

Online activities will help me through as they did for many of us during lockdowns! Enjoy whatever your day brings! ?????

Ashcombe Tue 25-Oct-22 06:06:02

Thank you, grandMattie. It’s good to hear that you are benefiting from the helpfulness of others when you are so selfless in your care of others. ?for the deal on DL'S flat! ?

Good morning from South Yorkshire,

I am new to Gransnet. I have been reading the etiquette and posts and hope to contribute later in the week. Hubby has two days walking each week. We are retired and it gives us breathing space!! I saw Susie Dent on Sunday and she gave a lovely interview. The last question was which word would you like added to the dictionary? She said, "respair" to be a positive word for healing and mental improvement. The positive opposite of despair. If the word is used a lot it will be put on the list for the dictionary compilers. I do hope that people like the word and it does become her dictionary entry!

Welcome, Elizabeth7! I hope you enjoy the variety of discussions here. This daily thread is a very welcoming place with both regular and occasional contributors being made welcome. ?

Good morning everyone from Wiltshire, I haven’t peered outside yet so no idea what the weather’s doing.
Off to Longleat today with DS, DDIL and DGCs, should be great fun!
Chaotic weekend here but lovely seeing everyone.
Quiet week planned after they go home later, I need it!
I hope everyone’s week goes well x

Beechnut Tue 25-Oct-22 06:45:47

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s very dark and not raining.

My usual swimming this morning and will do some of my exercises in the pool. Then it will be back home and do whatever needs to be done including checking on my washing that is drying in the garage.

Have a good day all and welcome Elizabeth7 ???this is the colour of a Dahlia I have.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 25-Oct-22 07:19:48

Good morning all from still dark Harrogate. I await the arrival of my new washing machine which should be delivered between 7 and 9 this morning.
Good news that your breathlessness has gone Mick
Your DL is making good progress with her move - is your house on the market yet GrandMattie?
Good luck with your self isolation Ashcombe, a tricky time.
This morning I shall go to my art club and Hope when I get home I will find new machine in situ and old one disappeared! No idea what the afternoon will bring
Have the best day possible folks

GrannyGravy13 Tue 25-Oct-22 07:21:00

Good morning from the NE. Haven’t looked out yet so don’t know what the weather is like. OH and I are having out booster jabs this morning.
Welcome to Elizabeth7. Like you I’ve been reading this for a while, and enjoying getting to know everyone.

cornergran Tue 25-Oct-22 07:31:06

Morning Mick, morning All from a dry corner of Somerset.

Had a very lively and enjoyable day with family yesterday which led to a good (exhausted!) nights sleep. Back to legal difficulties today, they rumbled on in the back of my mind yesterday.

Good news you have more energy mick. Hope you had more sleep marydoll. That sounds positive for your dl grandmattie, hope it all works out. Wishing you well with the necessary isolation ash

Take care everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Jaxjacky Tue 25-Oct-22 07:31:52

Good morning from S Hampshire, I think it’s dry. Pleased to hear your breathing has improved Mick.
Let’s hope the move of your DL goes ahead in a timely manner gMattie.
Ashcombe may your isolation pass quickly,
I learnt yesterday the nasty storm I drove through on Sunday was the edge of a tornado that wreaked havoc on a local wildlife park, no one hurt.
I have drives to sort for people today, some housework, just gently as I’ve twisted my back.
A warm welcome to Elizabeth7
Enjoy your day if you can ??

ginny Tue 25-Oct-22 07:41:21

Good morning .
We will be taking DDs dog to the exercise field later this morning. Bits and bobs to do then on with my crafting.
This evening I’m going to the cinema with DD2.
Hoping all medical visits go well and thoughts with all struggling with illness or worries.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 25-Oct-22 07:47:36

Good morning all from Ibiza. There’s a pale blue sky and another sunny day ahead.
DH is still asleep and I’m enjoying a quiet start to the day and have taken my meds before I can eat or drink.
You said about clubbing JaxJacky I noticed on the way from the airport a poster advertising Pacha for New Year’s Eve! Ah if only. Yesterday we had a walk down to the main area for bars etc and had a morning coffee followed by lunch then walked back and explored walking the coastal path around the area of our apartment.
It’s our turn for the car today and the family are having a pool day after going to Portinatx yesterday. I fancy going to Cala san Vicente and we will see where else we end up.
Welcome to Elizabeth and grandma Christy ?
Hope your isolation goes ok and I’m sure you will have a plan for passing the time Ashcombe

Take care everyone.

Good morning from a dark and dismal Black Country.

We avoided the rain on our Monday walk yesterday. It started just after I arrived home.

Today my friend is taking me to lunch for my (belatedly) birthday. I don't know where I am going as it is a surprise. I do the same in November when it is her birthday. Saves pondering what present to buy.

Glad your treatment seems to be working Mick. After a blood test Mum was prescribed Vit B12, D3 and Follic Acid. A month later and she is a different woman! She used to complain all the time she felt unwell, now she doesn't. I did tell her months ago to see a Doctor, but she always said there would be nothing they could do because of her age. It seems she was wrong smile

DD sent photo's of the girls in a Pumpkin field yesterday, ever seen so many in one field!

Hello to Elizabeth7 you will always find a warm welcome on this thread.

Have a lovely day everyone

NannyJan53 Tue 25-Oct-22 07:48:38

Oh, and welcome to Grandmachrisy47 too

Marydoll Tue 25-Oct-22 07:49:55

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 12 °C.
A warm welcome to all the new members, quite a few recently..

That's great news about the lack of breathlessness, Mick it can be so debilitating and troublesome.

I wanted to thank you all for your kind words yesterday, especially the poster, who sent me the loveliest of PMs. Apologies for being such a dripping wet blanket recently! ?
My lovely SIL appeared unexpectedly yesterday, with flowers and cheesecake, which cheered me up no end!

DH has an eye appointment, so I shall have to drive. However, it's straight there and back, I have no inclination, nor the energy to to indulge in a spot of retail therapy, while he is in the optician's. At least my bank account will benefit! ?
I shall grab the opportunity to get both my pairs of new glasses tightened, they keep slipping down. Grrr!

Thinking of all who are poorly or struggling, so many on this thread and also in the Kitchen.
Ash, I hope your isolation isn't too boring and GM, enjoy your morning out.
I was also wondering how Miss Oops was faring.

Have a good day folks.

grandMattie Tue 25-Oct-22 07:50:41

My house isn’t on the market until I get something in Bristol. The village will rent the apartment until I sell!

Wyllow3 Tue 25-Oct-22 07:51:24

Good Morning from a cloudy S Yorks, which is a shame because in the night all the stars were out in a clear sky.
welcome Elizabeth.

I'm off to the gym early as have a first Zoom counselling session late morning cross fingers it goes well and looks like it might help with separation going on for me from abusive husband.

As ever I enjoy following people's days but still feel a bit in the "getting to know people stages" so will give a general warm wish that days go as well as they might, with appointments and family meet ups and clubs.

Enjoy your last day of "freedom" Ashcombe

Gingster Tue 25-Oct-22 07:53:27

Good morning all and it’s very quiet out there.
Today we are travelling up from Essex to the Suffolk coast for a week..

Welcome to Elizabeth and Grandmachrisy47. I look forward to hearing all about you. ?.

Ash I’m sure you will keep yourself occupied and content. ?.
Could you have a walk out when it’s quiet? .

We have our shingles jabs at 9 and then back here to pick up little pooch and a couple of bags and then we’ll be off.

Wishing you all a good day ?

grandMattie Tue 25-Oct-22 07:54:06

Rent ME the apartment….

ShazzaKanazza Tue 25-Oct-22 07:55:04

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. A lovely day is forecast.

Mick it’s so good to hear about your health improving.

Welcome Elizabeth7?

Today we are going to Bridlington. First to take my uncles shopping. He will be pleased DH is with me today. Later we need to help Mum close her caravan for the winter months. We need to upend the beds put salt bowls everywhere to stop damp and bring her TV and bedding, blankets etc home. That will be it then until the end of March. My mum very rarely wants to leaves her house through the winter she hibernates.

Hope everyone has a good day. Thinking of those struggling through illness??

Gingster Tue 25-Oct-22 07:57:01

I hope your zoom councelling session goes well Wyllow . You must have had a tough time. Love and healing thoughts ?.
