Why would he even mention that!…..

I am 70 and have been on a diet since day 1 of my life and DH had been a part of it to his despair ! last week I made a small fruit cake and for some reason I proceeded over the week to eat 3/4 of it! DH found out and said “I am shocked you have done that “ if the cake had still been there I think it might have ended up on his head 😂

Someone else came up with the Platinum Jubilee sewing tin, it was a Roses special edition. Came with free chocolates. Ace Unfortunately I had heart surgery with total appetite loss to follow, but looked forward to the prospect of the chocs. Other half is not usually a choccy fan but I came home to just the empty tin.
So I have a pretty sewing tin....

Best not to have them in the house. But don’t blame yourself if you eat them. The combination of sugar and fat has been scientifically proven to be addictive. It literally affects the brain which tells you to eat more and more of it. Only way is to avoid that first bite.

Does anyone else suffer crippling anxiety over illness?

I don’t often binge on chocolate, but if I spot the chocolate coated marzipan bars in Lidl, I can’t resist.

I've got 4 runs off Heroes, 2 tubs of Celebrations and 2 tubs of the Swizzels retro sweets sitting by the washing machine in the kuchen. I bought them for xmas about 4 weeks ago. 5 of the tuba are (loosely) allocated as gifts and I like to kero a spare (or two) just in case a neighbour buys me a box of biccies or something.

I've been walking past and looking at them for weeks now agma I've been REALLY good 😇 not to have raided them, but then I do have 2 boxes of Lindt balls upstairs and they're not so safe 🤣
