These are a few of my favourite things.

I'm always trying to 'empty' my house of 'things' and I have loads of bits.
So I'm in the habit of narrowing down the things I really appreciate about my home.
One of which is large windows!
Also efficient central heating and air con.
The few things I would take if there was a fire would be bits the children made or gave me.

Oh air conditioning.
I'd love that, I think.

My garden. We are really enjoying growing our own. I've been out in the sunshine this morning collecting the leaves to compost. And to think that pre covid we were thinking of downsizing. We have decided to stay put now for as long as we are able.

Another reason to hang on here is to provide a safety net for the one Adult DC with children who is in a rented home. They would love to buy the house they are in but if the worse happens we have enough room here until they find somewhere.

I like my big cupboards, a piece of coloured cloth (or some kind of runner or cover?) with what I think are some words in amongst a religious (?) pattern. In short, I don't know what it is, but I like it.

My light spacious uncluttered flat. 2 minutes walk from large open space to walk through into town. Some lovely pictures but they would ‘out” me ! Mix of modern and antique furniture. In my kitchen I have a corner with two windows and a table . Great for staring out of the windows

I love my old style, wooden "pulley" for drying laundry. It works well and means I rarely use the tumble drier.

I have two lovely bowls created by a local wood turner from a large piece of a hawthorn tree we had to have felled. He created other items to sell. I was glad it didn't end up as firewood.

Love every square inch of my house which we bought in 1975. It was a wreck but we eagerly and lovingly restored it. Special smaller items would only be photographs.

We have a few bronzes - this is my favourite. It was bought by dh for a wedding anniversary and is called 'Where the Heart Is'.

He seems quite interested in your home, kitty rather than just leaving you to decide everything.
