Oh dear, Donald Trump has announced he is running again for President, That alone causes me concern, but in a media link this morning, his son Baron was sat with his mum watching his father spout on. What a sad, forlorn young man he appears. It just makes me wonder...

I'm hoping that Trump will lose the nomination to di Santis, run as an independent and split the Republican vote. Well, a girl can dream.

We have followed US politics over past couple of years. Their politics are so complicated. Scary thought if Trump gets back in. But thankfully I think tide is changing towards him. Yes Baron seems sad. But maybe he's different in private.

Melania has already said that she won't act as First Lady or move so Trump will be on his own
His kids aren't around to support him either
Both Biden & Trump are far too old

I have friends and family in the USA. He has done a lot for the country. He is actually taking global warming seriously. Trump said it didn't exist. Trump also took covid seriously. Trump didn't. I suspect that Biden's wife Jill will ask him not to run again. I also suspect that he will listen.

Apart from the usual "He's a recist and a mysoginist" that usually accompanies any talk of Trump, can anyone actually come up with anything else about it. Or does everyone just listen to MSM and lap it up as truth. Take time out and look at some of the other news that the MSM aren't intereted in.

He also overheard one of his staff discussing losing her home with a colleague. Pres. Trump paid the amount she needed (over $20,000) in order to keep her house. That does sound mysoginistic to me.

The thought of Trump in power again fills me with fear !! I hope that Americans see sense !
I agree a younger person needs to be in the White House ! Obama was a breath of fresh air !!!

I felt sorry for Barron and now more so because people are making fun of his name.

He's a teenager, he's a nice looking boy and he's suddenly grown very tall which might make him look gawky (we have a teenager like that). But ours is not thrust into the spotlight.

Leave him alone.

There was recently a programme with Ruby Wax and it shows her interviewing Trump, and meeting Melania, who at that stage wasn't married to him. Yes she will no doubt wait until Baron has finished his education, or maybe even hold out to be a well off widow, as said up thread should she go for divorce she runs the risk of coming up against financial abuse, hiding assets, pre nups, he would t willingly let her have a fair settlement. Look at the shocking way he behaved after he lost, he is an entitled bully

I'd feel uncomfortable in social gatherings if I was there with Donald too.

Absolutely! grin

Younger candidates? Older politicians truly concerned with the well-being of the country used to mentor the young but not any more. Two reasons - (1) politics has gotten so dirty that decent people don't want any part of it and (2) old ones are afraid they'll lose their job.

Who wouldn’t be gloomy with a father like Trump!

It shocks me that folk don’t bother to look beyond President Trumps unfortunate personality & see what he’s actually achieved. He’s very popular & a great asset on the global stage. If you research further you will find he has achieved much more than is publicly acknowledged
But you may have to go down a few rabbit holes to realise the scope of his real achievements

I would feel uncomfortable too.

Would you like to list these wonderful achievements and the ways that trump has been an asset on the global stage?

Imaround I seem to recall Chelsea Clinton was given a very tough time in the U.S. press as a young girl and teenager.
This was not only to do with who her parents were but also with how she looked. Which is even more appalling.
She seems to be happy and making a success of her life these days but it must have been hard.

The press has a lot to answer for, it’s bullying behaviour
