Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast. After a busy week, I have come to a full stop with a massive cold. Even wheezing! I had to cancel my outing with friend for village switch on lights fun and am not pleased as have another busy week looming. Man proposes and god disposes as they say…
Still I slept reasonably well and will just ‘recline’ today.
Haven’t read through yet, but send good wishes to all with worries.

Good afternoon Annie, Mick and all.
Late appearance, again! We had visitors yesterday, and I was tired when they left, but thoroughly enjoyed having them. It was our GD with her little family, and bringing the new GGS to introduce . He was a delight, so happy and smiley. His 'big' sister is the love of my life. They live a distance away, so visits are precious.
Because of visitors, we were not able to go to Church, who had a visiting minister that I would have liked to have heard. Will try and catch it on the recordings, but DH has heard that difficulties were happening with the audio equipment.

A CT scan for me late this afternoon, so probably an early lunch . I was going to put washing out on the line, but it has clouded over , so the airers it will have to be.
Best wishes to all the poorly ones, and have as good a day as you can.

Late to the party today but am still processing the news that my oldest friend of 75 years died yesterday. Her death was expected and she had not been reachable for over a year, but I still feel bereft; with the death of DH in January and S now, the two people who knew me best and loved me unconditionally, I feel more alone than ever, which isn’t true but feels as if it is. Not so important compared with what so many are coping with, and at least the sun is shining.

GrannySomerset, hugs to you. I am so sorry that you have lost your dear friend . What with the sadness of losing your DH at the beginning of this year, I know you said her death was expected, but nevertheless, it is still a shock, especially as you sad you had known her for 75 years.
Please come on here and be with your virtual friends to listen and understand.
Be gentle with yourself and take things slowly .

GrandmaSomerset my heart goes out to you. My best and oldest friend of 60 years is in hospital and the prognosis isn't good. It's all the shared memories. 💐

Thank you. So much shared history and experience gone this year. It is one I will be glad to see the end of so that I can start afresh next year.

I just had to pop back in to express my condolences for those who have lost friends and partners recently or who are having an ‘anniversary’ of lost loved ones, it really can be sapping to have sorrow weighing you down.💐

Still sunny. Found some books! (Under some toy cars in a basket in the back of a cupboard)My faith in the owners of this black leather, chrome and glass, black and white decorated house is restored, nowhere comfy to sit and the floors are slippy tiles, but maybe they stored them away because the colourful book covers offended their eyes?
anyway……
