Surprising how many folk, although they kind of enjoy Christmas Day, are, like me, glad when it’s over. That, and the knowledge of lengthening days really cheers me. Not that I’m miserable - but YKWIM!

corner 🤣🤣

Hi again.
Susan we are so happy to hear your GS continues to improve. 💐

Grandmadinosaur Thankyou. Son is confined to his room as his wife being pregnant has to keep away. He has his Labrador for company. On the plus side we have had lots of video chats with him.

Oops that sounds awful for you hearing all those shots. Hope they finish early and clear off.

Just enjoyed a lovely breakfast Thankyou DH. Bubble and squeak using up the leftover veg with lovely poached eggs on top.
I’m thoroughly enjoy reading your lovely news.
Marydoll rest up today 💐

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest Lancashire coast.
Perfect day yesterday, apart from setting fire to my favourite tablecloth on the dining room table. Meal over, we had left the table and DD came in to clear to find flames from a leaning candle, the wood is damaged too. All can be fixed.
DD and DS helped with meal, delicious and an orgy of present unwrapping..
DS did a few jobs around the house for me, much appreciated and put on the film “Zoolander” thinking I might enjoy it, but I didn’t 😁
DGD arrives today so we start again.
Will read through later and hope you all have a good Boxing Day, or St.Stephens Day if you prefer.

I was amused yesterday hollysteers with your tale of putting a tin of tuna in your daughters stocking. In my DILs stocking I gave her a pigs in blanket flavoured cheese truckle 🤣 she loved it.

Susan56 pleased your DGS is on the mend.

Morning penpal, enjoy your curry with your family xx

MaryDoll so sorry to learn you are feeling poorly once again (((hugs)))

I am finally downstairs, showered and hair washed (not blow dried, I am going free and easy today)

Eldest son and his wife had put the furniture back where it belonged, which was a nice surprise to come down to. DH is hoovering and I am about to cook brunch.

I have a box of lost property. a pile of opened presents to be collected along with one of the AC’s car still on next doors drive, all signs of a good time had by one and all 🤣🤣🤣

Good morning from a cold bright Co Armagh
Great day yesterday in spite of various ailments , meaning it ended up with my Daughter and I having dinner just the two of us , after other catastrophies the roast was binned , being a flurescent blue colour
We had a vicious game of scrabble , much hilarity but we plan to play again so she can get revenge
Prayers for all our poorly xxx

Good morning everyone from a sunny, warm Algarve. It’s so warm that I’ve taken advantage of the fact and done some washing, although I wouldn’t normally on Boxing Day.

I feel as if I’ve lost a day somewhere although I can account for what I’ve done each day since DH collapsed last Thursday evening. We were just about to prepare the evening meal when he collapsed and I had to call an ambulance out. Thank goodness he didn’t have to go to hospital, the paramedics were brilliant and we will be seeing his doctor as soon as possible.

I wrote in more detail, about what happened in Soop’s Kitchen last night and felt better for unloading a bit. I also did my best to catch up with all the news here and I’ll catch up with today now.

Oh I forgot to say, we had a lovely mystery present from both daughters. It was an envelope contains plasticised print outs of three air tickets from Gatwick to Faro. Not for us obviously but we had to wait until our older daughter phoned at 12.30 to find out. We’d already spoken to younger daughter but apart from asking if we’d opened our presents yet (we hadn’t) she didn’t mention it.
So, the tickets are for both daughters and their cousin to come out on Friday 17th February for a long weekend. smile
We haven’t seen our younger daughter for at least the last three years and it must be even longer for their cousin.

I must admit ,my first thought was beds and bedding but I quickly got over that. I know that they will all muck in and they’ve deliberately chosen the weekend before Lent when there will be a lot going on in the town and they will be lovely cheerful company in the evenings. Nothing we can do about the weather but hope it will turn out like to day which is now 21° !

Sorry to hear about your husband collapsing dustyangel. That must have been such a shock. It’s lovely you are having your daughters visiting you and something to look forward too. Enjoy the lovely warm weather. X
