Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
DD and DS left now but my sister here. Night before last a Chinese takeaway for a change from turkey and all enjoyed Who wants to be a Millionaire.
I have a shower head with a leak, need a plumber.
Last night sister out to meet old friend and I enjoyed some time alone with a stupid rom com.
Vivid dream last night that Charles and Camilla came for dinner. Not here, but in my late mother’s house. Much fussing about, but Camilla very laid back 😁
Will read through later and hope you have the best day you can.

A late good morning from a wild and windy Durham. We finally got home from our Christmas break - 27 hours late! A day of recovering and laundry lies ahead. I’m going to do DD2’s as well and she’ll bring it later. She’s back at Hospital today to have that bl**dy foot looked at - they think it will take months to heal. A good outcome is that she has been referred to several other departments as she’s never seen ‘anyone’ other than GPs since she was 16 and she’s 40 next year.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Mick and everyone. Another rainy day in this corner of Lancashire, currently 9°C.

No real plans, it’s too wet to get out for a walk. Mr. B and I are listening to the unabridged version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein so that will keep us entertained. We are like a very small book group, as we like to discuss the book together.

I really must remember to order eye drops as they’re running out. I’m going to look into ordering a daylight reading lamp as I’m finding reading and sewing really difficult of an evening.

May you all have a good day 🌹

Good morning/afternoon one and all, and especially to the lovely Anniebach.
I have been very lax about reading the Good Morning thread, so am very behind on how folks are faring.
We seem to get up later these days, and have a very late breakfast. Then, by the time I am washed, dressed, sorted out, looked at my emails, it is time for coffee.
Sorry to hear that so many are poorly or just under the weather.
We also have had a bunch of late cards. Such a shame, when the cost of postage is so high. Perhaps we will not send any next year. Emailed ones are lovely, but not the same. Sad.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Good afternoon from a wet and blustery Oxfordshire, sorry to be late, my excuse is that I had bills to sort, bank statements to agree and our updated 2023 budget to put onto a new spreadsheet. Prices have certainly risen in the past year.
I also had to call our oil delivery people, I wanted to pay our huge December delivery bill as a one off, instead they’ve changed the DD to pay it monthly until June! Not flipping likely. Anyway someone will call me back.
I will now go back and read this mornings post.
Have a good day everyone and for anyone who is poorly, take care and stay warm and dry.

That is great Urmstrmgran. I too am doing what you are doing by having a half stone target at a time I actually lost .2 of a lb on Christmas day but then succumbed to weakness and put on a pound over the last two days. Good luck. I shall be looking out for your post with interest.
A very happynew year to you and keep up the good work.thanks
Carole
