At my age and state of health, I only hope to live for at least another 23 days !

How about unmatched socks I bet between me and DH we have at least 46 stuffed into a drawer that never gets tidied.

How about 23 National Trust places to visit (or similar).

If 23 is quite high maybe you could work up or down so do 1 activity once, another twice etc.

Get back into the swimming pool….more than 23 times a year …. but not sure I can manage 23 times a month yet due to torn knee cartilage( healing slowly) ….of course read 23 books …finished the three I received Xmas …..( must rejoin library!). Walk at least 23 miles a week …..see not everything can be on a yearly timescale🤷🏻‍♀️

In my endeavour to visit 23 new places, today I'm off with a friend to the Design Museum - other than once nipping in to use the loo I've never been inside.

I'm hoping all that design loveliness will inspire me to come home and chuck out 23 pieces of junk!

What a fabulous idea. I love a challenge. Ive spent the past day or so thinking of where I can do 23 separate things but also do in 23 different groups
so far I have

23 local walks
23 bus/train/tram trips
23 pounds off-of course
23 local parks/local National Trust properties
23 6 mile walks locally
23 bus adventures using my bus pass
23 drinks on the patio as the sun goes down
23 books to read
23 counties to visit
23 walls to paint(bit of a cheat as most rooms have four walls-but I'm clutching at straws here.
23 areas to declutter
23 new recipes-maybe focusing on different countries for each
23 decluttered items to sell
23 new foods to try

Thanks Maw! What a lovely and energising idea! Once I’ve cleared today’s ‘To Do’ list (which has probably got at least 23 items on!) I’ll bend my brain around a bit more forward planning…. It would certainly be helpful to check in and track how we all go over the months ahead…

I am too lazy to count things. Not in my personality I’m afraid. I’m trying to cut down things and getting better at it everyday. More relaxing and I can spend more time in the garden. One legacy of Covid, I suppose, smelling the roses so to speak.

Riverwalk, I'll be very interested to hear your thoughts on Kerry Jackson. I read the most awful review which caused me to change my mind about attending.

Yes, it's had mixed reviews but a friend went and really enjoyed it! I'm not going until late January but will report back.

Next time Kim go with your first instinct and ignore the reviews - this was one of those occasions when you wonder if a critic has seen the same play!

Lots of stereotypes - Kerry a working class Essex girl with forthright right wing views opens a tapas bar in 'the village' of gentrified Walthamstow; and liberal lefties who feel sorry for the homeless young man who's hanging around outside spoiling the ambience.

Brilliant acting particularly Fay Ripley of course; lots of laugh out loud moments and many that made you gasp. And a great set which turned around when going from the tapas bar to the shaker-style, extended with side return, kitchen of the trendies. I like imaginative sets!
