Why did you choose your Gransnet Name?

Mine was meant to be hmmduh. Thinking of a name (hmm)and cannot think(duh)

When I was lurking I read about members cooking from scratch, jam making, dressmaking, crafting, knitting and other things that I just can't or don't do. I said to my DH "they are all domestic goddesses and I am very definitely not!" He pointed out that nobody knew I wasn't. I decided to give myself a Goddess's name and if I was going to do that then it might as well be a good one. Juno is the queen of the Roman gods 😊. I had to add a number as I couldn't have just Juno.

I started off with another name and left. When I rejoined I came up with the name I have now. It’s nothing to do with anything. My daughter also sussed out I was 🤣

Mum would pick up a hen, wring it's neck and cut it's throat, then give it to me to pluck.

My name is not Joanna, but I am Cockney and can play the old Joanna.

Mine is partly my nickname from school and my birthday month.

When I first saw "Theexwife," I somehow missed the ex wife bit and thought the poster was married to Theex, thinking "that's a strange name" from then on, I envisaged Theex as a Viking Warrior with a horned helmet

My user name is really quite self explanatory!

"Oh forgot the question was "why did you choose it?", I like a play on words, I'm not the only one there's SueDonim and LauraNorder to name but two.

I was BaNana once when I first joined which had all the right components for me, first two letters of my Christian name, I'd just become a grandma and I love bananas, but somehow or other I lost it but can't remember why

Mine is quite boring. My birthday is 2nd May.

I briefly had another name but deregistered then had to come up with another.

I was listening to Frank Sinatra at the time so ‘Baubles bangles, bright shiny beads’ it was.

My mum used to always call me by it, well unless you did something wrong, then you got your full title.

When my first DGS was born (he is now 32) I worked for a well known New Homes Developer and had to dress in the corporate uniform with hair and make-up all done up,when my DGS arrived everyone on site congratulated me and called me Glammanana it has stuck from that day to this with all my family.

I was looking out the window and there were two swans on the river having a bit of a stooshie (I think it was mating season).

Mine is, of course, self explanatory. However, I now have DGS2 (different Mum) with an unusual first name - so I might have to change my moniker.

It's something I find myself saying to younger members of the family quite a lot. Probably sends them into instant boredom mode, but usually they disguise it pretty well.

I was reading a humorous BBC Radio 2 website about ageing (in the era of the late, great Terry Wogan, Alan Dedicoat, Janet and John, etc). A subject heading was "Looking for something in beige?" which made me laugh so I went with it.

I may actually possess a beige cardigan or two. Do call me beige for short.

I love dragonflies and apparently the name without the numbers was already taken although I haven't come across them.

With a surname like Smith what else could I be? My husband has just said that I am the apple of his eye 😘
