My therapy today was…

I've made perfect pork crackling in the air fryer....feeling chuffed!!

I've removed and wrapped about 150 glass dogs in newspaper, prior to moving in about a fortnight.

A sunny dry day meant I could spend some time pottering the garden. Always therapeutic.

For once I put myself first and sat and watched the footie, bliss.

Made cheese straws for daughter3, wasn't tempted to eat even one.

Mine was having a two hour gossipy catch up chat with daughter no1.

Have you noticed how silver chains get knotted if you just leave them untouched in the box? Tangled up in the Hoover must have been a challenge.

Found a video of Handel's Messiah on YouTube. Voces8 and the Academy of Ancient Music. Absolutely gorgeous.
I am watching/listening as I type.

Wrote a very long outstanding letter to a friend who loves letter writing. Was dreading it but once I got going I told her about my chocolate cake success ( I am rubbish at cakes & she is a chef). So well pleased.

Had DD2, lovely sil and 2 dgds here overnight. They stayed for lunch and we played a few games of Blockus.

Tired but happy.

Sat chatting with DD who is a very busy lady in the week, and we talked about so many things. A delight.

Mine was walking on the beach looking for Sea glass and fossils and shells etc.. one of my hobbies.

Finding an old photo of my son when he was aged 10, and feeling a rush of love and warm memories of the day it was taken.

Watching Tilly Trotter on Drama Channel. I watch all the Catherine Cooksons over and over!

It has been an absolutely awful wet and miserable day here, so a lazy reading day.

Definitely! What’s that all about? Do they try and mate in the jewellery box?
No matter how carefully I lay them in there they tangle up when I try to take one out.

My therapy today was to drink a large Baileys after a frustrating hour untangling a string of 300 tree lights.😡

I found it helps with the untangling if you had fastened it before putting it away. It still gets into knots, but not as many.

Starting on a simple piece of knitting - such a relief having just completed a tricky pattern.

I'm supposed to be doing my tax return... but instead have spent the time printing out and filing our holiday bookings for the coming year.
