My therapy today was…

On such a wet windy day I settled down to unknot a very knotted silver necklace chain found in the hoover. I enjoyed every moment of undoing this puzzle and felt so relaxed and pleased with myself.

Ohmother trying to untangle a chain would probably result in my throwing it across the room with frustration! The Christmas tree lights were bad enough.
My therapy today has been a half hour chat with a neighbour reminiscing about the fun our children used to have playing together in the garden. Our children are now in their fifties.

A long deep sleep this afternoon. I think I've finally shaken off the lurgy now, and am ready to start the "New Year" tomorrow. Because of feeling under the weather it has passed me by so far. Haven't lifted a duster since Christmas!

My therapy was to go and have a delicious roast dinner with one of my DDs and family. I feel renewed.

Wrote a short letter, then watched Songs of Praise whilst sorting jigsaw pieces.

I watched Vienna Blood this afternoon and loved all the Art deco/art nouveau buildings. I would love to go to Vienna to see them. Watched Happy Valley tonight ....not a good feeling...very grim.the

Doing absolutely nothing for an hour, just sitting with an empty head.

Finally planted all the six packs of flower bulbs in the garden that I’d bought in the sale for £1 a packet , hopefully have a colourful display come the spring 🌺

Cleaning out the cutlery drawer. How does it manage to get crumbs etc in it when it’s only opened to remove/put back clean knives and forks?
One of life’s great mysteries.smile

Yes, I’m always puzzled by that too , in fact my cutlery drawer is on the opposite side of the worktop !

I LOVE unknotting silver necklace chains. A tip is to use a pin. Poke it into the knot and shake it till you see a little hole appear. Often wondered if a sprinkle of cornflower would help free it. I was binge watching Emily in Paris on Netflix at the time.

Today my achievement will be clearing my sinuses as I have a horrible hanging on head cold. 🙄

Reading a very naughty book. 😈

Rubbing a tiny drop of baby oil onto a tangled chain necklace, does help.

Hanging my washing out. It’s not usually something that makes me happy, but it means it’s fine and sunny at the moment.

I went for a long walk on the beach ( we’re on holiday) and spotted a very large seal. The sea and rocks look different every single day. Not so many people around now as the holidays are more or less over. I like the local beach in our winter ( June/July) because we have it to ourselves.

Went into the local chemist to buy a lipstick yesterday, feeling a bit down (no real reason - post Christmas/drizzly weather?) A new assistant came up and talked about cosmetics she had tried; we then moved over to the foundations and discussed those - all very trivial stuff, but she was such a gentle, calming and friendly person , completely unhurried, and I came out of the shop twenty minutes later feeling so relaxed, with a bright new lipstick and a lip gloss, and a feeling that I had been in the company of an angel! She was most certainly theraputic.

I find if you lay a silver necklace fastened in tissue paper and gently wrap it stays put.
