Yes I know it’s too early but DH and I have just eaten ours! We’re doing child care on Tuesday. We are both so impressed with the quality and price. We had coquilles St Jacques, rack of lamb with hasselback potatoes and profiteroles with rose Prosecco to drink. The deal cost £20 but our individual items came to £34. It was lovely to have a simple but special meal at home and I would strongly recommend it. Quite a lot of different items to choose from as well

My order is already in.
I will be having it with my GD and her friend, neither of whom have BF/ partners.
I will also have the rack of lamb which I love but haven’t decided on the others except for Rose Prosecco.

Yes I’ll get ours tomorrow hope it’s as nice as yours.

I'm on my way! Well, tomorrow perhaps.

The Meal Deals from M&S have been very poor lately, or non-existent so let's hope they are returning to some good offers.

Yes I will get mine tomorrow, hope it hasnt run out of the good stuff.

Had ours last night - veggie options.
Would highly recommend. Waitrose and Sainsbury's are very poor on veggie options for Valentine's and generally at the moment.

We have bought two lots of M and S Dine in and we freeze some and eat the rest over the next few days. We chose 2 bottles of fizz for our ‘almost’ DinL We will have our own favourite wine on Tuesday.

Looking forward to the lamb. 👍

Everything I fancied was out of stock at Ocado sad

FannyCornforth Sun 12-Feb-23 08:14:42

Edit: in fact most of the deal was out of stock at Ocado, whether I fancied it or not.
Especially the desserts / cheeses

I see M&S have the Love Sausage again!

I'll be buying the meal deal too. However, neither of us can manage the full three courses in a owner so we'll have the various bits over a few days.

I bought the Morrison's meal deal yesterday - mussels, beef Wellington, Dauphinoise potatoes, green veg, profiteroles and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc all for £17.00 We had it last night; it was surprisingly good and certainly worth the money.

I actually saw this on Facebook and had a good laugh as I thought it was a joke. It is a serious food item then and supposed to be for Valentines grin Makes our heart shaped scones for Afternoon Tea on Tuesday look very prudish. smile

Yammy Sun 12-Feb-23 09:24:26

We're having Afternoon tea delivered from Bettys of York. You can choose the basics and then add your own. Fat rascals are high on the list.
I can't get deliveries from M&S ,Ocado or Waitrose where we live so it's "Afternoon tea for us.

I miss having a Valentine's meal, DH always arranged dinner out, but the meals mentioned here sound lovely. Maybe not the love sausage 😅
I was talking to GD about Valentine's day and she says they celebrate Galantine's, just chilling out with friends. What a lovely idea.

I think the Valentines Day meals are very good value. We haven’t tried the M&S one yet, but we had a Morrisons one last night, (£15 if you have a Morrisons card), which was a starter, a main, two sides, a dessert and a bottle of wine. We had steak for the main course, with chips and mixed green vegetables, and a Gu dessert. It was delicious. We got an antipasti starter, which we will eat during the week. I’m planning to get a couple more deals and freeze them.

Aveline Sun 12-Feb-23 11:59:49

Just bought the M&S one and very pleased with it. Leek and cheese souffle tarts, chicken cordon bleu, cheesy green veg bake and lemon cheesecakes plus the best prosecco. It'll do us for a while and I see from my receipt that I saved £14.75. Happy days!

Urmstongran Sun 12-Feb-23 12:05:28

I think M&S would do great if they just stuck to what they do well. Food and knickers.
😊

paddyann54 Sun 12-Feb-23 12:09:27

I've always replicated the first Valentines meal we had ,so its melon and prawn ,Sole Veronique ,green beans and baby potatoes and Strawberry Mille Feuille...once a year for now 49 years.
I dont like going out for Valentines and I've never tried any of these "meal deals" ,how boring is that?

Urmstongran Sun 12-Feb-23 12:13:43

Not boring at all Paddyanne as your meal sound not only very romantic but delicious too.

Yammy Sun 12-Feb-23 12:17:03

I hope you're not meaning the meal you prepare paddyann is boring. It sounds lovely to me and Romantic to have carried it on all these years. wine I used to get a saucy card and chocs as the years have passed the card is more tasteful and the chocs replaced by flowers.
We should all be pleased that we have someone to share it with and feel for those that don't.

Urmstongran Sun 12-Feb-23 12:49:22

Actually we have never bothered with this Hallmark moment.
😱

Kate1949 Sun 12-Feb-23 13:11:33

Neither have we Urms. Someone mentioned it yesterday and my husband said 'We don't bother with that malarkey' grin I do appreciate the fact that we still have each other though.

Maggiemaybe Sun 12-Feb-23 13:31:12

I’ve chosen the M & S prawn tempura, chicken cordon bleu with cheesy green vegetable mix, chocolate and orange brownies and prosecco. Not the healthiest choices, but hey, it’s Valentine’s Day! A meal deal would normally last us for 2 meals but we’ll see. smile
